Aww no Shell! I nearly went to see that at the cinema yesterday... then made other plans instead. As if they changed the ending?! That's the best bit of the book!! I still might watch it... but get annoyed just as you have!

I agree, the ending was the best part. No don't get me wrong, the movie was great and well worth seeing, just go there knowing the ending it different. The other thing that annoyed me .... but i ignored cause i know they cant put everything into a movie lol ... was Campbell never got to have his relationship. For the life of me cant remember her name, but the chick that goes to talk to the fam as the courts ordered. She didn't exist in the movie at all.

Lilo & Stitch.......
I know, I know, an 'old' one. But I was cooking dinner and ironing (not at the same time) and needed a distraction. So I popped the dvd into the laptop.

Oh crap, my movie list, where do I start? Whilst I was away, one of my work friends gave me a free subscription to Lovefilm, a Film, TV and Game rental site for people in the UK. I've been renting DVDs that I missed seeing in the cinema, or ones that I've always wanted to see and just haven't. It's great for a lazy body like me, I don't actually have to go out and rent the DVDs, hehe. Anyway, films I've watched recently: - Shakespeare In Love (I rented that to watch it again with my friend, Joseph Fiennes has lovely big brown eyes)
- WALL-E (Oh my, this was SO cute!! Wall-E is probably one of my favourite films now)
- Confessions of a Shopaholic (Based on a series of books by Sophie Kinsella, I was really looking forward to this as I love the books, but I was a bit disappointed! Oh well, you know what they say about films and books...sometimes good books are ruined by films)
- The Simpsons Movie (Didn't actually think this was very funny)
- The Holiday (Wanted to see this for ages but was a tiny bit disappointed! The plot was very transparent to me)
- Sliding Doors
- Run, Fat Boy, Run
- Vicky Cristina Barcelona
- Pathology (Mmm, Milo Ventimiglia...)
- Flatliners
And there we have it. A long list. Oh, and I've also been watching my way through Star Trek: The Original Series, but it's not a film so it doesn't really count. Once I've finished I'm planning to watch the films though ;D

I've just realised that I missed quite a few films off my list. I'm taking a Science Fiction module at university this year, and we spend our time watching Sci-Fi films ;D - Forbidden Planet
- Demon Seed (this was crazy)
- Invasion of the Body Snatchers (I've seen this film loads of times!)
- Pi
- Surrogates (didn't watch this in my class as it's too new, but saw it in the cinema with my friend)
Also, I know it's not a film, but I've been watching the new television series FlashForward, it's great!! I call it the Sulu and Shakespeare show, hehe.

So the last films I saw were 9 it was awesome! Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs it too was awesome and would totally recommend it to any one to see that wants to laugh. Zombieland it's funny, but a bit gory. and lastly Where the Wild Things Are DO NOT WASTE YER MONEY!! ugh... so many things wrong with that. I will admit it has it's moments.. but they are pretty much ALL on the previews and that is it. It's slow.. kinda a downer and there really is no way to connect to any of the characters cause they are all freaking jerks! and And then it ends... that is it.. the whole movie right there.

What a shame, I though Where the Wilds Things Are was going to be good. You just can't trust film adaptions anymore. However, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was so great! I recently saw two movies. The first was The Brothers Bloom. This has to be one of the greatest movies i have every seen. It will be a cult classic no doubt. Just so great, such crazy and wonderful characters and the plot was just....oh goodness. Just amazing! I recomend it too absolutely everyone! Then I saw Sunshine Cleaning. It's a pretty somber movie with a few giggles. I dunno, i was kind of a sweet milestone movie where poeple find some kind of closure in their life and it speaks really well for how to move on with ones life. I liked it overall but not as much as The Brothers Bloom.

I will say this though about Where the Wild Things Are.. it's a 'pretty' movie. The cinamatoraphy (i think that's waht they call it) is really nice and it's visually pleasing. But the original book was only 10 sentences long.. i think it was jsut too little for them to then make a movie out of it.

I've seen advertisements for Where the Wild Things Are and have to admit it does look very appealing to the eye...don't think I'd go see the film though. Last night I watched American Beauty as one of my uni friends loves it, and it's one of those films I haven't watched and felt that I perhaps should! I really enjoyed it. Even if I was analysing it a lot of the time, thank you very much, Screenwriting uni course.

I have not seen that one, but also have felt I should as it was so talked about when it came out.

^ I know, I love 'whodunits'!! I never quite realised my love of them until Monday when I was discussing my work with my lecturer. He said of my work: "Wow, this is like a whodunit!" and we started enthusiastically talking about films and shows.
*raises hand* Hi, I'm Kate, and I'm a big fan of 'whodunits'.

Hmm, I've watched Star Trek a few more times as it recently came out on DVD. I've got it on Blu-ray and it's absolutely beautiful.
About a week or so ago I watched Gigantic, which was a relatively cute film.
Yesterday night I went to see New Moon as my best friend really wanted to go and had no one to go with. Surprisingly I liked it a lot more than the first film, Twilight! I couldn't sit through that, but this time I managed it! I think it helped that Taylor Lautner was half-naked throughout most of it ;D

I have been unsure about going and seeing it. I figured I would just wait till it was out on DVD or something and not waste the $22 to go to the movies and see it. I donno I am still iffy on it.. i just can't stand the girl they have playing Bella... she is a shit actress.
