As I said in Dizzy's legacy thread, I've got a very important essay due on the 19th so TS3 isn't really my priority right now. As soon as my essay is finished and submitted though, I promise I will update!

All I ask for is a little patience...

But yes, I did have some coursework due on the 19th, that's all finished and done with now but I've got exams starting next week! So I probably won't be posting as often as I need to concentrate on those, but I'll see what I can do.

The Warner Legacy: Update 2.3

Phoenix: So, last time you guys read this legacy, you saw a new baby, am I right? Well, just to let you know...I'm still here. I'm still cute. Don't forget me, ok? I WILL NOT LET YOU FORGET ME.

Me: Ummm, Phoenix, there's no way that's going to happen if you are going to have outbursts like that. Don't worry.



Chris proves that it wasn't just a one off - he really is a good daddy! And he loves him some Normie

Phoenix: I may be asleep, but I've made it my priority to crash into this update frequently!
Me: Enough of that, Phoenix please, no one is going to forget you.



I noticed it was almost time for Edith's Adult birthday, so I sent her to the spa for a bit of R&R. After all, she has had two babies too. Hehe.



After a day at the spa, she comes home to learn that Chris hasn't managed to burn the house down and it's time for her birthday!





I just like their expressions in this one



Edith: I feel funny.
Chris: Honey, you have sparkles coming out of your body. That must hurt, surely?
Edith: Aren't you supposed to get wrinkles when you age? Instead in this game, we get sparkles.



Chris: What happened to all your hair?
Edith: I have no idea.
Me: Me neither.
Edith: It doesn't matter. I'm still sexy.



I was tempted to keep her ginger pixie cut, as it does look good on her, but I only let her keep it for as long as it took her to eat her cake



Edith: OOOH NOW IT'S TIME FOR MY DAILY FREAK-OUT...NOW THAT I'M AN ADULT THAT MEANS I WILL SOON BE TRANSITIONING TO ELDERHOOD AND THEN POSSIBLY DYING...OMG...WHO IS GOING TO LOOK AFTER THE KIDS WHEN CHRIS AND I ARE GONE? WILL DEATH BE ALL THAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE? OHHHHHHH GODDDDDDD I DON'T WANT TO DIEEEEEEEEEEE

Me:

Phoenix: Hey. I'm still here.



Edith: Chris, dear, you're looking rather ripped. Have you been working hard on that weight machine? Your muscles are positively bursting out of your t-shirt.



Chris: *immediately chokes on Tofu Dog after Edith's speech-bubble disappears*
Edith: *eats innocently*

Hey from the pictures showing the outside of the house and the neighboring green house I just realized if my family were in your game where they are in my game we'd be almost neighbors as my family (in my game) is just on the other side of that green house! Small world.
And now I wonder if I once had a Chris (but named something else) sim in my game living just two doors down

The Warner Legacy: Update 2.4

Today I'd like to open this update with an observation.

A few updates ago, I said that I used to hate those animal suits in TS2, and my hatred of them in TS3 was slowly appearing. Well, I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm not fed up with them yet! My Sim children always seem to end up wearing them though, so only time will tell...

But really, the purpose of this picture is just to show that Edith pays attention to her kids sometimes, even though Chris is probably the best parent in the house



Phoenix: AH HA! I found you, Mr Bear. Now, what have I told you? You must not ever go- ... *girly squeal* OMG!! Don't creep up on me like that! ... Stop looking at me!! There's nothing to see here, people-in-real-life...



Soon it's time for little Normie's birthday! Yay Normie!

Never mind that Chris is holding him a bit too close to his armpit for my liking



He celebrates his transition into toddlerhood with a pick of his nose.



Phoenix: O, behold my brother! Crawling his way to an improved appearance. Methinks this might mean I will no longer be the focus of many an update! O, zounds!



Here's Normie in all his cuteness!

He rolled the less than impressive traits Couch Potato and Heavy Sleeper. Guess I won't be able to rely on him if there's a fire while he's asleep or anything, hehe.

His favourite style of music is Egyptian, he loves eating French Toast, and he always has a fabulous time when he is surrounded by the colour Grey.

I have only just learned this, but I always guess at making rooms in a Sim's favourite colour. Ok, so that isn't really worded right...what I mean is I never seem to get the exact colour they like. I've just found on The Sims Wiki a page which has the colours and lists their hex codes/RGB values. Here it is for you guys too!: sims.wikia.com/wiki/Favorite



Well, they may not be facing one another, but at least they are playing in the same room. Perhaps there will be no sibling rivalry here...? Or perhaps there will be?



Christopher: So honey, what do you say? Shall we try for another one?
Edith: *attempts to pull a "come-hither" look*
Christopher: Uhhh, honey, that's just putting me off.

I don't know why, but Edith reminds me of Lady Gaga in this picture.

The Warner Legacy: Update 2.5

So, Edith & Christopher had a little bit of special time at the end of that last update... *cough*

But now they have some more special time of a different kind, it's Phoenix's birthday! Time for childhood, Phoenix.





Phoenix: ...Well, here I am! Surrounded by sparkles, and looking positively evil.



In addition to his other traits, he rolled Slob - wow, my legacy is rolling some really interesting traits. In case you were wondering, I'm not picking these myself, I'm letting the 'randomize' feature do it's own thing. Starting to wish I hadn't though...

Phoenix has an interesting nose and upper lip...but when I say "interesting", I really mean quite odd?! Shall be keeping an eye on that.



Well, uhh, ok, that throws his "slob" trait out of the window...



After an exhausting day at work, Edith finishes her day with a pop! Still wearing her chef's hat, hehe.



*shrugs* I just thought this was pretty. Chris seems to like running through the forest though...think he dashes home to make sure that his wife doesn't find out he has been fishing all day



Time for Phoenix's first day at school! I hope the driver isn't planning to do a U-turn in the middle of the road, like I've seen many other Sim drivers do... *tuts*



One of the advantages of fishing is that you get to catch plenty of fish to display around the house!

Everyone, meet Spock the Goldfish, Chris's first Perfect fish! LTW here we come.



Phoenix arrives home from school and gets started on his homework straight away. What a good boy!



As well as Phoenix's first day at school, it also happens to be Chris's birthday! A lot seems to be happening in this update...makes a change hehe



Christopher: Here I come, Adult life stage! I'm ready for my wrinkles now.

Kate note: He actually didn't change one bit. Despite all his boasting, I couldn't see any wrinkles. He probably has some though



Tee hee hee...as well as being a HIGHLY memorable day (Phoenix's first day at school, Christopher's transition to Adult), Edith decides it's time to go into labour!

What will it be? A boy or a girl?

You're right a lot did happen in that last update! I hope it's a girl.. We've had two boys already, think we're due one! Phoenix and Normie are turning out cute Hope there's no more sibling rivalry on the cards!

Call me a bit mean but I am a little disappointed with how all of the Warner children look Thought I'd picked a winner for Edith in terms of Christopher, but he seems to have a funny lip thing going on which he has passed down to the kids! :/ Never mind, should be able to remedy this in future generations!

Just got an e-mail to say my pre order for TS3: Ambitions is being readied for posting...oooh I'm so excited!!

Why is the new EP out right as I go back to work? Hardly have time to play anymore as it is.. *sigh* You'll have to lemme know if it's any good...

I'm thinking of making a thread like I did when Seasons came out for TS2. I was going to play with my Legacy as normal but since I'm so far ahead in game the new EP photos wouldn't come until much later

Although Ambitions comes out Friday, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to play it until Monday. That is, if it comes in the post on Friday. Would be nice if it comes on Thursday, but I don't see that happening. Sadly I've got to work Friday and the weekend, blah!

WOW! Two updates Normie look adorable after his make over and I had a giggle and his awesome traits. I have gotten some interesting combinations of traits in my legacy from that randomizer thing too It's one of the reasons I think I have so enjoyed playing my legacy family and not lost interest. It's really forcing me to explore other traits I wouldn't normally choose and see how those sims act.

Thanks for the link to the page with the codes for the favorite colors. I always wondered if being around the right color had any effect and if so how we were supposed to be able to get those colors as none of them are straight forward colors on the color charts given in the... color-changing-place. (sorry I can't think of a better name for it and if that made no sense just forget it all and only read the Thank You for the link )

I didn't notice too much of a weird lip/nose thing on the kids, but I know we all look more critically at our own sims. Maybe they will grow out of it as they get older. And maybe the new baby is a girl and she will take after Edith more... Is it a girl?!?!? come on.. you can tell us... we wont tell any of the others ...kekeke

DIZZY YOU HAVE THE EP??! *flaps arms* I am so jealous! Just had an e-mail this morning to say my copy had been posted, but I highly doubt it'll come tomorrow! Hrumph!!

I have to agree with you Diz, I think the reason I'm enjoying playing with my legacy is because of the awesome random traits that are cropping up. Also there is so much to do with Simmies in this game when compared to TS2, think that's another reason I keep coming back to it

You're welcome regarding the link! I was under the assumption that a Simmie would get a mood boost if they were in a room which was painted his or her favourite colour, and it would show on the picture-mood-interface-thingy (lol can't think of the name for that either). However despite me painting rooms their favourite colours, I've never seen any effect on a Sim...hopefully now I should start seeing results!

I will update again today so you guys can see whether the next baby is a girl or not, hehe

Oh and also I'm in the process of reuploading my pictures as .JPEGs to a different image provider...hopefully if all goes well they will start loading faster. Yay! No more clunky .PNGs
