So.. is it Jasmine or Yasmine? >.> Also the running away bit! I think this is something new. I have never seen it and when my last heir (you have not met them yet) tried to find a mate they had two different people run from them after chatting them up and getting along pretty well. I think it's very rude. The least they could do is say they are not interested... although I guess running away and not saying anything pretty much says "I don't like you." The astronauts picture is funny, Normie's suspicious accusing face is kinda cute. I just don't understand how Yasmine/Jasmine could run away from him. Well if she didn't have a valid reason I doubt he'll have trouble finding someone new. I love your house! It's so beautiful! Do you happen to have an empty version of it saved? If so any chance you'd up load and share it? Pretty Please? Happy New Years to you too Kate!!

*hangs head* I'm sorry for being so rubbish at updating and disappearing a lot. I really really am. It's just...in my nature. Sob. Will an update make up for it? No? What about virtual cookies and an update? ... Still no? Ok, well, here. Have an update. A very big one at that. Here is a recap for you all: Normie met a girl. Her name was Yasmine. (Sorry for the whole Jasmine/Yasmine thing. Obviously I got confused. Major Kate!fail.)
Normie liked Yasmine. However, when he tried to get close to Yasmine, she ran away. Much crying occurred (although I tell you this in confidence, Normie wouldn't like to you to all know cries a lot. I mean, come on: a man who wears pink scrubs and cries a lot isn't really a good example of what it is to be masculine). Not much else happened. Edith & Christopher played video games, and that was it really. The Warner Legacy: Update 2.22Normie heads over to the house where Yasmine lives in hope of seeing her. She doesn't make an appearance, so he chats to one of her room-mates instead. Her name is Chelsey. Does anyone remember her? If not, just scroll up a bit. There is a picture of her thinking about Normie. Truth be told I think she might be obsessed with himNormie: I may work in the Medical profession and see damaged hearts all the time, but what Yasmine did hurts...y'know? Chelsey: Normie, I'm really sorry. Is there anything I can do to help? I've got some band-aids...I can help heal your broken heart. Normie: Thanks, Chelsey. That would help a lot. I was thinking about marrying Yasmine, you know. Now what am I going to do? Who am I going to marry now? Chelsey prepares Normie a nice meal to cheer him up (I think it was salad, LOL). She finishes her food way before him and decides to spend the rest of the time staring at him. I told you all I thought she was obsessed with himShe's actually really pretty. I'm not sure why she changed into her bikini to eat salad though. Did I mention she's a bit bonkers? I guess that's what you get when you come across a Sim who has the 'childish' trait. Normie: Thanks for listening to me, Chelsey. I really appreciate it. Would you like a back rub? I'm really good at those. Oh! Normie, you sly dog, you. Toilet Seat: Making guest appearances in legacy updates since 2011. I didn't see that coming. I thought he was still in love with Yasmine? Clearly not. Normie moves on fast! Faster than the speed of light! Well, ok, not that fast. Hi Dorian. What brings you to the main Warner household? Why are you in the pool at night? Are those balloons behind you?... Oh, it's that time is it? It is time for Chris and Edith to grow old together. Thanks to the wonderful creation that is life fruit, I managed to work it so they both transitioned to the elder stage at the same time ^_^ Normie: WOO! GO DAD. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW OLD AND WRINKLY YOU LOOK. Edith: Hey, quit looking over there! Don't forget about me! I'm growing old too! *quickly blows out candles* Meanwhile... Christopher: They never said my back would hurt this much... Guy in background: I'm wearing really, really, REALLY tiny shorts, and quite possibly have the worst outfit ever. I am totally ruining this picture for you. This definitely isn't a ruined picture. Still lookin' good, Chris!!! Edith: Whoa. I feel funny. I swear my sparkles were red and not multicoloured the last time I looked... Chelsey: Go Edith, go! You hardly know me, but WOOO WAY TO GO! Cleopatra hair?! REALLY?! FOR MY EDITH, REALLY??! Yes, really...oh god, EAxis, oh god. That's better! She's still looking pretty sharp, even more so after that hideous hair was swapped... ~*~*~*~*~*~
Is there a future marriage on the cards for Normie and Chelsey? Will Edith and Christopher have some ~*~*EPIC*~*~ adventures now that they are both elders? What will become of Dorian's tendency to swim in the family pool, fully clothed?
Find out in the next update of the Warner Legacy! (Which will hopefully come sooner rather than later.)

Ohh Kate, how I have missed your humour in updates. Guy in background: I'm wearing really, really, REALLY tiny shorts, and quite possibly have the worst outfit ever. I am totally ruining this picture for you. This line in particular made me actually laugh out loud. Chelsey is cute, hopefully Normie will find someone and settle down soon and get going on a new generation, would be nice for Chris and Edith to have some grand kids. Speaking of Chris and Edith, they make a very lovely elder couple You have inspired me to play! So I might actually have an update soonish on my family.

D'aaawwwwww thanks for the lovely comments!! It's good to be back, I actually have missed updating the Warners. Despite the fact it seems to take me longer to sort the update images out than it does playing Oh, and also, upon seeing all your comments this morning, I looked like this: You have inspired me to play! So I might actually have an update soonish on my family. OMG YAY! *runs to read* I have just noticed all of my images have been compressed by both photobucket and tinypic Now they're all fuzzy and not as clear cut as they once were! This really annoys me...I'm going to have to rethink how/where I upload them

Trying something different with my images again...they are .PNGs, so, apologies if they take forever to load. The Warner Legacy: Update 2.23[/u] So, here it is. The snake charming basket that Edith came back with from one of her many trips to Al Simhara. Now that Christopher is an elder, no no, he hasn't stopped using it. He is still obsessed with it! I made the mistake of placing it in the house and not in the family inventory so his obsession has increased tenfold. Dorian: Give it a rest, dad, and come eat some cake! Dorian: You know what would be really cool, big brother? If we set all this cake on fire. Extreme fire cake! Wouldn't that be cool??! Phoenix: I like my cake how it is, thanks. *stuffs face with cake* Chelsey: This family are weird...but I'll smile and accept them for who they are, anyway. Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Less of that public affection in the kitchen, please. And Normie, please give Chelsey her face back, thanks. I'm not sure she likes it sucked right off.The next day, elder Christopher is back in front of that snake charming basket again and doesn't seem to be having much luck with it. Chris: OW! THAT DAMN SNAKE JUST POKED ME IN THE EYE! Normie: Hey, look guys! *smug grin* She's dreaming about me. Isn't that great?! It must mean she really likes me and can't get me out of her head. I know what to do... The next morning... Normie: So, Chelsey! I saw you dreaming about me last night. Chelsey: You did? And I thought I was creepy. Normie: ...What? Chelsey: Sorry. Carry on. Normie: So, anyway, I think it would be a really good idea if we got engaged. I'm serious. *pulls out a box* Chelsey: *gasps* OH MY GOD IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS? Normie: Chelsey, will you do me the pleasure of becoming my wife? So we can hurry up and move onto the next generation? Chelsey: Of course I will, you dumb man! Come here! *giant hug ensues* AWWWWWWWWWW. This song is appropriate: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a28kY1-s-VcNormie: HELLO. I just wish to inform you that a really positive thing just happened. CHELSEY AGREED TO BE MY WIFE. THAT *points* was probably the best moment of my life. Chelsey: Who are you talking to? I know we're getting married, so please sit down and be quiet so we can watch the TV. Chris: Good job on the engagement, guys! You two will be great together. Together you'll be like a shooting star, flying through the sky. Amazing. Normie: Thanks dad. Chelsey celebrates her engagement by playing with the dolls house. Having a childish Sim in the legacy will be great and full of this sort of thing, I bet. Together they celebrate their engagement by...well, you know what they're doing. ~*~*~*~*~*~
Is this really the end of the second generation? Are there going to be babies soon? Will Christopher learn to curb his snake charming addiction? What will be Chelsey's next childish action? Where was Edith in this update?! Was she conspiring against something?!
Find out in the next update of the Warner Legacy!

You have no idea! Keon is a childish sim and he is forever at the doll house or taking toys out of the toy chest and bringing them to the kitchen to play with. There seems to always be toys scattered about the house everywhere and it's all him! Although it is kinda cute when the childish sims talk to their hands YAY! For them getting engaged... new generation coming soon.. i hope Careful what you wish for. Remember the birthday cakes are called Inferno Cakes, and they do tend to explode every now and then LOL.. i loved Normie's public announcement into the camera... so far he's looking a little crazier than Chelsey.

I handed in my last uni assignment today, yay! So to celebrate I bring you all a nice long update The Warner Legacy: Update 2.24[/u] That evening, as all of the Warners are tucked up in bed... A wild BURGLAR appears! Chris: Hello?! Hello??! Is that the police?! There's a criminal trying to break into my house. Please get here quick! I don't want him to steal anything! Hehe at Chris's new jammies...they may not have the awesome cow-print but they've got cool green bunny slippers!Burglar: MWAHAHA IMMA TAKE UR TV A wild POLICEWOMAN appears! Wild POLICEWOMAN used staring contest! BURGLAR is stunned! Sorry for the Pokemon references. I'll stop now. My friend and I were discussing it so it was on my mind...Chris: OH WHY DO WE HAVE TO GET BURGLED AND WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE AWAKE AND REACTING TO THE BURGLARY?! PLEASE JUST GIVE ME BACK MY TV Wild POLICEWOMAN used kick ass! It's highly affective! Ok, sorry, that was the last Pokemon reference. I promise for real this time.Policewoman: Take that, you lazy, good for nothing... Burglar: I picked the wrong day to switch to the criminal career path. Policewoman: This guy was like a teddy bear...cuddly, but so easy to beat. Girl power! For some reason the policewoman decides it might be a good idea to leave the burglar - unattended! - out on the pavement, without locking him in the car. Surprisingly he doesn't attempt to run away. Is this game MAD??! Anyway, the policewoman reimburses the Warners, and they soon get their television-box back. Chris: *writing a tweet* JUST GOT BURGLED. LUCKILY WE DIDN'T LOSE THE TV. Chris: Honey, did you even realise we were burgled this morning? Edith: We were?! Oh, honey, did you save the day? Chris: ... if you want. Edith: Oh honey! I'm so proud of you! Just watch out, you won't be able to save your ass when I crush you at this video game. That evening, Normie and Chelsey decide to get hitched in a small ceremony in the back garden. While Normie thinks about his soon-to-be wife, Chelsey thinks about dragons. Oh god... Everybody welcome Chelsey Warner née Huffington to the family! She's got some interesting stats! I had completely forgotten she's got the handy trait (I'm very far ahead in game) so I'll be utilizing that when I next play Yes I have made new Sim information thingies[/s] Chelsey: YES! I'm about to get jiggy with my husband! When he's wearing his kimono! SCORE. I think you all know what follows. The next morning... Chelsey: NEH-NEH! I WOOHOOED WITH NORMIE AND YOU DIDN'T, HAAAAA SUCKS TO BE YOU Chelsey: *singing* Hey Normie, I came and you gave me some Woohoo And I gladly accepted Oh Normie, I love you so bad That it hurts me And I'll always feel this way Oh Normie...Edith: Hey, this is quite a good song...wait. What were the lyrics??! Oh dear, Chelsey. You're not singing about your woohoo with Normie now... ~*~*~*~*~*~
Ok, so now is *this* really the end of the second generation? Are there going to be babies soon? Was Chelsey pregnancy-sick, or flu-sick? Will the family get burgled again?
Find out in the next update of the Warner Legacy![/center]

LOL... *feels special cause she got the pokemon references before you mentioned Pokemon* I was going to comment that someone has been playing Pokemon a bit much lately What is that little black box next to the TV? And speaking of the TV.. good thing Chris was fast acting on the phone and got the police there in time! Ya know what I just realized... there are not as many burglaries in this game as there was in the last one. Oh I hope Chelsey is pregnant sick and not flu-sick *crosses fingers* I want to see babies Congrats on turning in the last Uni assignment YAY!!!

Sorry I haven't updated yet, I was intending to but I'm currently going through the process of resizing all my images - AGAIN - and changing them to .PNG format so Photobucket doesn't destroy the quality of them at a later stage.
Having to resize 300+ images gets boring after about 30, but I am getting closer to the last images I posted so hopefully I can update for you guys soon.

Aww thanks Angie, that's very sweet! I must confess I keep forgetting to update! I'm so wrapped up in my big pile of books marked 'to read' now that I've finished uni that one minute I seem to be thinking about updating the Warners, and then the next I'm thinking about the current book I'm reading! Ahhh!! I will try and update soon though

I'm currently reading D. H. Lawrence's Women in Love - it was made into a TV series over here recently and I've finally been able to pick up the book. I always like to read the books to things before watching the films or tv shows. It's ok so far, a bit slow imo, and I was about nine chapters in when I found out that it's a sequel to another of Lawrence's works, The Rainbow. Doh. Oh well.
I also have a huge pile of books by Japanese author Haruki Murakami to read through. Well, it's not that huge any more as I get through his books real quick! I am captivated by his story writing! The prose is beautifully crafted and his novels feel so surreal, yet so real at the same time...that makes no sense really but I love his writing. A guy I work with recommended them when I one day mentioned I was thinking of reading some Murakami. It's kind of weird, I work in a bookshop but he's really the only one in the shop I can talk about books with.
Anyway sorry I am going off on one, better stop now. Sorry for my life story/gushing of Haruki Murakami/English Literature degree terms.
I haven't really recommended you anything. What sort of story are you looking for? I might end up recommending you children's literature as over the past year or so that has become my speciality...it's what happens when you are rota'd on the kids section all. the. time. Not that I dislike it, reading The Diary of a Wimpy Kid during quiet moments is quite fun, honest...
I'm going off on one again.

I was curious what you were reading... been thinking of picking up some "grown-up" things to read I have trouble reading because of my dyslexia and because of it really hated reading when I was in school, but when I was 21 I found that romance novels (if the story was well crafted) held my attention and I actually enjoyed reading through my difficulties. For the most part I was only reading historical romances usually taking place in the Scottish highlands or other parts of the UK... or things that have time travel. I have sense those days expanded out though because I am becoming a stronger reader and even though I still struggle a bit I find I really do enjoy reading. I love how once I get into a book it stops becoming a bunch of words on a page and turns into a movie playing in my head. And a lot of times I will read instead of watch T.V. as the book is a better story that most the stuff on the tele. So other than the cheesy romance books and of course Harry Potter Books i am wanting to read more grown up things, so I don't sound like such an idiot when people talk about the great books they have read and I am like "DOWN WITH VOLDEMORT!" Sorry that was rambling! I woke up sick this morning and called into work.. seems the sick meds i took to go back to sleep are kicking in. I will stop hijacking your thread with my ramblings.

So you like romances...huh? Me too!!! I'm kinda into a series written by Lynsay Sands. It's the "Argeneau" series. They are vampire stories, but not in the typical sense of the word. lol. I don't want to ruin the books for you so I don't want to explain too much. But you should really check her out. She also does "regular" romance novels as well, historical and the like. But MY personal favs are the vamp ones. lol. If you end up liking her, I can suggest TONS more. Edited to add: Also, they are what I consider "easy" reads. Nothing really all that complicated. Sometimes it's nice to grab a book where I don't have to look up every other word. lol. Also, if you decide to read them, you should probably try to read them in order. It can make it difficult to follow when they start talking about someone you've never "met" yet.
