I agree with you! I have a few odds and ends in my game which are quite realistic, but I will always favour cartoony stuff in my Sims games. It just looks better in my opinion! I completely turned towards maxis-match when that started happening for TS2, and am carrying it on into TS3.

I also don't like to download anything which has text on it written in English or any other human language (LOL) - I am playing The Sims, therefore text should be in Simlish!! The only thing I have downloaded in non-Simlish is those "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters as I'm a sucker for them.

Virgil has started writing a book. Hmm.. maybe he'll take after Great-Great-Grandmother Mimi and become a writer.

Edgar has taken to jumping out of bed early each morning and collecting all the laundry... and then just dumping in a pile in the office room for Margo or Myrtle to actually take it out to the wash machine. I guess he's helping by at least collecting it all?

Awww the twins are really cuute! Especially little Valerie, she has cheeks that just make me wanna grab them and go "COOTCHY COOOO!!" hehehe. Intersting that Velma has inherited her genes from so long ago!

Bless Virgil, he seems really sweet, eager writer and keen to get to school! Just wish those ghosties would stop bothering him, he doesn't deserve any bad dreams!

Yeah I was very surprise when Velma aged up and she looked so different. I haven't had that happen yet, but it's kinda cute.

And Virgil in game is no longer so enthusiastic about school... a trait he gain upon become a teen has kinda taken over now...lol

How fitting i start this update off with this. Finally got all the ghost wrangled (with a little help >.>) and now the family has claimed it's own corner of the town cemetery.


Vincent's birthday!

And after his make over. He gained no sense of humor this time around so his new style i thought should be a little no nonsense. I forget off had his other traits i just remember he is rather nerdy of the two brothers.


Well they always say the third times the charm right? This is the family's third maid and She is actually working!


Umm.. Margo I am not so sure that you should be teaching your young granddaughter fighting... it could have negative effects on her


Soon it's Virgil's birthday. (so many kids in this family! It seems every few days I get a notice that it's so and so's birthday soon!)

So many kids in the house Viktor needed a break so he took a book about inventing and plopped down next to a pond at central park and read for a while.


Vincent brought home a friend from school and they both nearly got run over by the bus making one of those nice U-turns in front of the house O.O

*the friend left soon after because Vincent wouldn't stop boring her to death Poor little guy.

Well so much for the maid actually working. I noticed right after she said she was done she had left a pile of wet clothes in the kitchen floor... I checked and there were no clothes int e dryer and it was not broken. I donno what their deal it!


And just for Kate! I looked around the house and busted out laughing... why! Well all three bathrooms in the house were full of people all having conversations. Because the bathroom is the best place for that ya know.

Myrtle= I have a paranoia about people being in the bathroom with me and taking pictures.


Vincent= Grandpa did you know we are in the bathroom! Isn't that cool!
There was a third picture, but it has gone missing.

WOOOO 2 updates (well 3) LOL

Valarie was such a cute toddler. Not bad as a child, though i have been fooled before with my own game! So I will wait and see how she 'ends' up LOL

Yes I have been fooled too into thinking a kid will look good or bad and then have them age up and that totally change.

I eventually had to turn on moveobjects and delete the ghosts (why i didn't think of this sooner I have no clue!) Anyways that made it so i could pick up the graves. Now that I know I can get rid of them I might let a new crop of ghosts haunt for a while. But most like will wait till i cam get more memory for my computer. It's really lagging and struggling and there has been a bit of improvement on game play since getting rid of the ghost on the lot.

And what you said about Myrtle's face at the birthday is totally how i feel. There are so many birthdays! I have lately realized I forget to take a lot of other pictures of the game play and so it looks like all I do is have a birthday in my game. I am gonna have to start trying to remember to take some pictures of the other stuff going on

You know I wonder if that's an old male Sim thing! Now that Chris is an elder in my game *cough* I've noticed that he does exactly the same thing when he wakes up in the morning. It really annoys me because he could at least have the decency to put it in the wash instead of just dumping it in the washing basket for someone else to sort out!! Pfft, men even have their moments in games LOL

I think Velma is very lovely! She stands out because she doesn't really look like she fits in the generation, but she's definitely one to keep an eye on. She really suits that hair you've put her in as a child, I do love that hair

This is another big birthday update.
First at bat.. I mean cake is Viktor.

Viktor = hmmm what should I wish for.. oh I KNOW! I wish one of these old people would hurry and die off some Myrtle and i can have another kid and gain our LTWs!

He's so awesome and handsome the game decides not to mess with perfection and he grows up looking. exactly the same! Yay game for getting it right.. once!

Look at him pose.. yeah he knows he's awesome.

This also happened to be the exact day Vincent is growing up too.

Here he is after his make over. Vincent already had no sense of humor and gained bookworm on this birthday so i thought it time he should reflect what his traits were making him.


Viktor needed more scrap for his inventions so he headed to the junk yard to dig around the trash piles for a while and see what he could find.


Virgil brought home a cute girl from school and after quite a few hours of talking he decided to try out some of his extra smooth flirting techniques. (if i failed to mentioned before i am sorry... upon transitioning to a teen Virgil gained Flirty trait.)

Of course face pulling! What other smooth flirting techniques did you think a sim would use?!

But she found it rather cute and flirted back herself.


Day or two later it's Myrtle's birthday!


Not too bad, but I think she needs a make over.

Myrtle and Viktor are both family sims, so their LTWs are to raise 5 kids. These old people have been hanging on and filling up the house... Viktor is not too happy about that.

And to whether Virgil kept that girl from school around or not you will just have to wait and see

Beings I am sitting here at home all sick with nothing to do i figured I'd give you all an update

Virgil has brought home another girl from school.


She is so over come with his smooth flirting skills she lets him steal a first kiss.


Meanwhile Viktor has found he can blow things up and sets about town blowing up planters and lights and benches.


My game lagged and didn't show the explosion, but now there is a nice pile of scrap for Viktor to collect for his inventing.


A night or two later Virgil came home with yet another girl from school O.O He used his old stand by silly faces to win her heart.


He's also able to steal a first kiss from her.


He feels with this girl he's found his one true love and asks her to go steady with him.


At the same time inside Vincent had also brought a girl home from school. He managed to not totally bore her to death and she even giggled at a few things he said.


Spying through the window his brother kissing yet another girl Vincent thought to try it out, but the girl was not so receptive and politely turned him down.


Soon after the two girls left and every one was getting ready for bed they heard the sound of someone falling to the floor.


OH NO! Grandpa Edgar has collapsed on the ground for some reason! And the Grim Reaper has shown up!


And apparently taking the souls of beloved family members is a big job because ol' Grimmy took a nap afterward.

LOL, can't believe Grimmy had the indecency to take a nap in their house after Edgar died RIP Edgar!

Virgil seems to be a hit with the ladies...nice to see that Vincent can get a girl too, hehe. I got my hair cut earlier today, and I've just realised that my hair cut looks like the one the black-haired girl has (who comes home with Vincent). Heh. Wasn't intentional!

*nervous look* Shell... you weren't supposed to ask any questions about that. but um no.. Edgar did not die of old age.

It seems while I was busy with the boys and trying to get Poor no sense of humor Vincent a date and Virgil to just choose one lady. Edgar got hungry. But instead of stopping his childish ways to go eat he oped to just ignore the pains of hunger in his belly and continued to play with the doll house until he collapsed.

So sitting home being sick for a week I have not done much else other than try and sleep, work on the knitted chirstmas presents and PLAY SIMS! Needless to say I have quite a few updates stored up and I have gotten pretty far in my family so i thought why give you all another update!

Myrtle is feeling a little under the weather.


And the perfect thing for being sick is to eat cake! Good thing it's birthday time. Here is Valarie at the cake.


As a teen. Not too bad, but I think she needs a look that shows off her mean-spiritedness and evilness (i kid you not the game has given her both those traits O.O)


Here is she.. a bit edgier. And seems she has dyed the tips of her hair red.

The next morning Myrtle's belly popped.


Valarie takes her bad attitude out on Virgil and calls him a Loser!


Virgil is anything but a Loser! Often on saturdays he'll get up early and make breakfast for everyone.

And had her first kiss with him. Maybe he will be a good influence on her

The piercings are from ... :/ I can't remember. I thought they were from Garden of Shadows, but looking there now those are different piercings. The very next time i go in game I will check for you >.> Which should be as soon as i am done posting around my sites because when i forced myself to stop playing this morning at 4am left the family last there was some exciting things going on and I want to get back to them.

And yes this new baby will complete both Myrtle and Viktor's LTWs.. that is IF they can raise it to be a teen
