[glow=red,2,300]Chap. 7[/glow]
It has been two weeks and I still haven’t heard a word from Jason. I’m starting to wonder if he is ever going to contact me or if he had just said he would to be polite. I mean I see him and his sister leaving early every morning and they usually don’t return until late at night, but couldn’t he spare a moment to just ring me up.
And no, I’m not stalking him. I’m just used to being up early every morning to see the sunrise. I guess this came about because of all the late nights I used to spend in the toy shop crafting new toys. During those days I would be so involved in what I was doing that before I knew it the sun would be up already before I stop working. So now even thought I’m no longer doing that, I still like to wake up early every morning and have a cup of coffee out on my front porch and watch the sunrise.
Almost every morning I would see a taxi pull up to their place and then I would see two people get in, so I’m assuming both Jason and Jodie are in it. I really thought that there was some kind of connection between the two of us and that we hit it off really well, but maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part.
Last night I finally heard from Jason. It has been almost three weeks since I’ve first met him and his sister Jodie. Jason apologized for not having called me sooner. He asked if he could drop by today to see me. I was ecstatic to hear from him and told him to come by around noon since it was going to be a Saturday.
Jason promptly showed up around noon and when I met him outside he pulled me into his arms for a nice long hug. Awww…..what a sweetheart. He felt so masculine and warm. As we stepped apart, we smiled at each other shyly. Wow, I didn’t think you could miss a person so much, especially when you hardly know them. But as I looked into Jason’s eyes, I realized that I had really missed him these last three weeks.
I invited Jason in and gave him a tour of my house. I think the room that he like the most was the kitchen because it was so spacious and it had a full bar with a variety of crystal flutes and glass cups hanging right over it. Just in case anyone’s forgotten, I did mention that Jason is and excellent cook and would like to eventually own his own diner or restaurant.
After the tour Jason and I decided to sit down and watch some television. Here we are cuddling as we watch some sappy romance film.
Sometime during the movie Jason asked, “Hey Lilac, how long have you been living here?”
“About four years” I answered. “This place use to belong to my grandparents. My Granddad left if for me when he passed away.”
Jason looked around in amazement then asked, “You’ve lived here for four years? How come there’s barely anything on the walls at all?” he stated sounding confuse. He looked around at the sparely decorated walls that were mostly bared of any kind of decoration.
“Oh, I’ve just been too busy to decorate it” I replied with a shrug. “For the pass four years I been so busy with my shop that I barely spent any time here. I only came here to sleep. Sometimes I didn’t even come home. Up until about a month ago, I practically lived at my shop.”
“You owned a shop?” asked Jason surprised. “How come you didn’t say anything about it the last time we met? Oh wait, I know the answer to that,” he chuckled answering his own question, “we spent the majority of the time talking to about me and what I wanted to do last time. So, tell me about your shop. What kind of shop do you have?”
“It’s not much. It’s just a little toy shop that I inherited from my Granddad along with this house” I answered nonchalantly.
“Oh don’t be modest” Jason teased. “A toy shop huh? What’s the name of it and what kind of stuff you carry?”
“It’s call Inner Child Toys & Gifts. We carry a variety of stuff that we think will appeal to both kids and adults alike, as well as some stuff that I make myself. We try to market to everyone. My hope is to carry products that will bring out the inner child in everyone, both young or old.”
“Wow, you own that shop?” Jason proclaiming sounding astonish. “My sister came home from shopping last week and she just went on and on about your shop. She loves that place. She said there was lots of amazing stuff there and suggested that I should stop by there to check it out sometime. Boy is she going to be shock when she finds out that I know the only” he chuckled. “And you said some of the toys are made by you? That is just amazing.”
I smiled bashfully and blushed. I hate being the focus of attention and so I winked and at Jason and asked, “Do we really want to spend all afternoon talking about boring ole me? I can think of more a more interesting way to occupy our afternoon besides talking about me” I suggested.
“Oh really?” Jason wanted to know. “And what would that be?”
I winked at him suggestively and pounced on him. “How ‘bout you and me getting to know each other better, Cowboy,” I teased him using a southern drawl.
“Well, see here lilo lady. I reckon that sounds like a great idea, but I wouldn’t want to be taking advantage of you” he teasingly replied as he laughed and pulled me on top of him.
“Well, Cowboy, if that’s the way you feel, how ‘bout I take advantage of you instead?” I counter grinning mischievously.
He winked, “I reckon that sounds like a grand idea. When are we gonna get started?” he teased.
We ended up making out on my couch for hours before Jason remembered that he had something he wanted to show me.
“What is it?” I questioned him.
“It’s a surprise” he mysterious replied. “If you’ll come with me, I'll take to see it.”

Author’s notes: Sorry about the whole thing of being able to see the sky and stuff from inside the house. These pictures were taken before I put in the ceiling tiles. So, any ideas about what Jason’s talking about?
