Hi everyone.......i've finally really started playing my game again and thought this would be an interesting story to share with ya all.....i'm playing around with this opening a business and trying to make it successful bit.........the main character is my new favorite sim at the moment and this is her story.......hope ya all will enjoy this.........[glow=red,2,300] Chap. 1[/glow] Hi everyone, my name is Lilac Silkies and I would like to share with you the story of my life. I grew up in a very small town on the outskirts of Pleasantview. Growing up I was always fascinated with how toys were made and put together. I was always the odd child who would spend all day indoors carefully examining all my toys. Everyone thought I was weird and I never understood why I was so fascinated with the process of toy making. When I became I teen my parents purchase a toy making workbench for me and I started experimenting with putting together a couple of different pieces. By the time I graduated High School, I had become quiet good at creating interesting pieces that friends and neighbors would purchase from me. It wasn’t until the age of 20 that I found out why I was always so fascinated with the process of toy making. A month after I turned 20 my mother informed me that my grandfather, her father, who I had always been told died long before I was born had left me his toy shop in his will. The story that Mom told to me was that my grandfather had not approve of the fact that Mom had gotten pregnant with me when she was a teenager and that she had married Dad. Because of this fact Mom and Dad had decided to cut off all ties with him and moved away from their hometown, Blue Water Village. Granddad had tried to mend the fences with Mom many times, but Mom had been too angry with him to forgive him. Mom informed me that many of the toys that I had played with when I was young had been gifts sent from Granddad. After Mom told me everything I was so angry with her for having denied me the chance of knowing my Granddad while he had still been alive. I decided to move to Blue Water Village and take over Granddad’s toy shop which was call Inner Child Toys and Gifts.

[glow=red,2,300] Chap. 2[/glow] This is what Granddad’s toy shop looked like the first time I saw it. Along with Granddad’s shop, he had also left me his house which I redecorated to my liking. It was a spacious three bed/three bath house. I’ve been so busy with trying to run the shop that I haven’t really had time to decorate it much, so it’s still pretty plain, with just the essential items. When I first reopened the shop after Granddad’s funeral business was kind of slow so I was able to run everything by myself. During the day I would take care of keeping the shop open and selling the products. Then, I would then spend most of the night restocking the shelves and making new toys in the backroom of the shop. After the first few months business picked up and it became too much for me to run the business by myself so I had to hire two employees to help me run the shop. First I hired a young man name Abhijeet Deppiesse to help restock and work the cash registered. But he was so horrible at ringing the costumers up in a timely manner that I had to hire an older lady name Candice Miller to run the cash register. Abhijeet however had great people skills so most of the time I had him doing sales promotion. The business was prospering very well. I strive to provide my customers with what they wanted to see. I also started adding some artwork and paintings that I thought would appeal to the inner child in everyone, which greatly increased sells. For a while I was receiving a steady number of customers each day. One day, unbeknownst to me, a writing critic came in. After receiving wonderful quality help and quality items she wrote a raving review about Inner Child Toys and Gifts, which ran on the front page of the Blue Water Valley Post. This combined with word of mouth sent my business blooming. ************************************ I'm beat for tonight.....will contine with more later......i have some pictures taken, but too tried to do the writing that goes with it right now......let me know what ya all think and i try to update when i have time.........

[glow=red,2,300] Chap. 3[/glow] It has been 6 months since I took over Granddad’s little toy shop. Business was blooming along really well. The customers are buying items as fast as we can restock them. Business was so good that we had to restock in the middle of the day during the mist of trying to promote sells. It became such a hassle trying to keep up with restocking the store as well as do sells promotion that Abhijeet quit on me because he couldn’t handle the stress. With Abhijeet quitting I had to rehire another worker because it was too much for just me and Candice to keep the shop running smoothly. Candice became our sells rep. while the new girl, a teenager, name Emmy Gray worked the registered and I made sure that the store was always stock. There’s Emmy at the cash register ringing up some customers while that’s me with the white plumb bob over my head checking to make sure that the shelves were stock. Most days, I would cover the cash register while Emmy is on break. As I’ve said, sometimes we sell things as fast as we are able to put them on the shelves and so most nights after I close the shop down and sent Candice and Emmy home, I would stay up to do inventory. Sometimes I would just bring my PJ’s along with me and spend the night at the shop because after doing inventory, I would find out that I was out of certain toys, which means I would have to be up most of the night crafting new ones. Here’s me working late into the night at my crafting table making more toys. It’s such a hassle and I get so little sleep, but it’s so rewarding when I see how happy people are when they come into my toy store and find the perfect item for them. The artwork and paintings that I carry seem to be selling really well too. Some nights I actually do get to leave the shop and go home. But this usually doesn’t happen until the middle of the night, because after my employees leave I still have to get everything in order and restock the shelves before I can call it a night. I like to get everything straighten out so that in the mornings we don’t have to spend hours making sure that the shelves are straighten and fully stock.

[glow=red,2,300] Chap. 4[/glow] On the occasional weekend when I decided to close the shop down for a day or two, I would just laze around my house and do nothing. Here’s me relaxing at home with a nice drink. *author’s note* (my sim appears to be an alcoholic…..teehee……every time I leave her to herself all she wants to do is go to the bar and make herself a daiquiri or margarita) After a year and a half the chaos in trying to get my shop up and running I decided to make Candice manager so that even if I’m sick or something the shop can still be open. Even with Candice as manager and Emmy starting to do sells, I still did the bulk of the work. Everyday I’m right there in the shop working side by side with my employees. I’m a control freaks and so am overly compulsive about wanted to keep the shelves fully stock at all times, because I feel that the more variety the customers have to chose from the more enjoyable their shopping experience would be. And I like to make sure that my customers are satisfied so that they continue to come back. Wow, I can’t believe it. Another year and a half has gone by since I’ve appointed Candice manager of the shop. Things appear to be running along smoothly now and it looks like Candice and Emmy has the story under control and so I’m trying to spend less time at the shop and maybe concentrate on me and getting a life. For the four years I have done nothing but concentrate my business that I didn’t really know anyone in town expect for Candice and Emmy and a few of my most loyal customers. Candice finally convinced me that I didn’t need to be in the shop everyday now because business was as good as it can get for the time being. Candice convinced me to stay home and just call in to check on the shop every few days. But knowing me, I couldn’t just sit around idling away my time doing nothing for too long, so I ended up calling the shop two to three times a day which kind of irritated Candice because she feels that I should just take time to relax and enjoy myself. Sometimes to help calm my nerves I would make myself a daiquiri or margarita drink. At other times I would just spend days idling away in front of the television or in front of my painting easel. Sometimes if I get a real nice painting done, I would put it up for sale at the shop. With so much free time on my hand I started to think about my future and how much I had always wanted to be a mother. Being an only child, I have always wanted to have lots of children. And now that I have inherited Granddad’s shop, I wanted that more than anything because I wanted to be able to leave all this my children one day. I wanted to pass on the passion for toy making to any offspring that I may have. Now the problem with this is that in order to have a baby, one has to have at least a boyfriend or a husband and this was definitely not my situation. First of all, I’ve been so busy these last 4 years with the shop and all that I don’t really know too many people in town. The only men that I meet are those that shop in my store only, and none of those guys really appeal to me. This is something I definitely need to work on. I need to start getting out there and meeting new peeps and everything. Maybe I’ll eventually find a guy that I will want to spend my life with who can give me the babies I desire.

[glow=red,2,300] Chap. 5[/glow] Today I saw a huge moving van parked down the street in front of that one house that has been empty for as long as I can remember since I moved here. It looks like new neighbors are moving in. I think that maybe I’ll call in on them later today or maybe tomorrow and welcome them into the neighborhood. I thought that they might be tired after a long day of moving and everything so I decided to wait until tomorrow to call in on the new neighbors. The next afternoon I walked down to the new neighbors’ place with a plate of cookies in my hands and knocked on the front door. A very attractive young man opened the door and invited me in. We introduced ourselves and he told me that his name is Jason Larson. Jason and I talked for a while and there just seem to be this instant connection between the two of us. It also helped that he was such a lady charmer and kissed the back of my hands when he had introduced himself. I was thinking to myself, “oh wow, he’s really hot” when I saw an attractive young woman walking out of what looks to be one of the bedrooms. The thoughts that automatically came to my head were “oh great, I finally meet the first nice person that I find attractive and he happens to already be married. Just my luck.” She walked up behind him and asked, “Jason, dear, who’s your guest.” I looked at this amazing stunning woman and blush bright red because just moments before I had been having inappropriate thoughts about her husband. I ducked my head and cast my eyes down to the floor slightly embarrassed. “Hi, I’m Jodie” she said sticking out her hand for a shake, “and you are?” “Oh, I’m sorry” I replied. “You must be Mrs. Larson. My name is Lilac Silkies and lived down the street. I thought I’ll bring over a housewarming gift and come over to introduce myself to my new neighbors. It’s nice to meet you Mrs. Larson.” She burst out laughing and Jason joined her. I became even more embarrass because I had no idea what they found so amusing. “Am I missing something here?” I asked them both confused. After a few minutes they both calmed down enough to answer me. Jodie wiped a tear from her eyes and she grinned as she answered, “I’m sorry. We didn’t mean to laugh. It’s just so funny that you thought I was Jason’s wife. It’s actually Miss. Larson and not Mrs. Larson. You see, I’m not Jason’s wife, I’m actually his twin sister.” “Oh, I’m sorry. When I saw you I just assumed that you were Jason’s wife” I stated still slightly embarrass and turned even more red. “No big deal” Jodie chuckled. “We get that a lot because we’re usually always together.” ******************************* (Sorry about the lack of pictures…..i took the pictures before writing the story and didn’t take enough pictures to fit into my story….also sorry if it isn’t a very well thought out or written story because I just play the game and snap pictures when I feel like it and then put the story together later………)

[glow=red,2,300]Chap. 6[/glow] We stood around chatting for a few minutes than Jodie announced that she was going out to do some shopping. She asked if I knew of any good stores in town that she should check out. I gave her the name of a couple of stores that were close to Inner Child Toys and Gifts, but told her that I didn’t know much about them because I didn’t do much shopping. She thanks me and headed out. After she left Jason invited me to go sit out on the front porch with him so that we can get to know each other more. A couple of hours later he invited me to stay over for dinner and I accepted. Omigosh, Jason is such an incredible cook. He served salmon for dinner and it was the most succulent meal I had ever had. Jason shared that he and his sister were hoping to open up a business together. Since they both love they cook they were thinking of starting up a restaurant or something like that. He wanted to know if I knew of any empty buildings in town that would be good for such a business venture. I gave him the name of my realtor and he said that he’ll give her a call soon to see if there was anything available in town. We continue talking for a while and I found out that both he and Jodie had just turned 26 which would make them just two years older than me. After a while we decided that it was time to clean up the kitchen because it was getting late and I needed to be heading home. In the process of carrying the dishes to the kitchen Jason snuck up on me and started kissing my arm. I was so surprised that I dropped the plates and they went crashing to the floor. “I’m so sorry” I apologized as I crouched down and starting picking up the broken pieces of plates. “No, it’s not your fault. I should be the one to apologize for startling you. It’s my fault that you dropped the plates” Jason intervene. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up. “Why don’t you go have a seat on the couch and I’ll take care of this. Then I’ll walk you home when I finish cleaning up” he suggested. “Okay,” I answered as I let him pulled me up. When I was finally standing he still didn’t let go of my hand. He just stood there holding my hands and looking deep into my eyes. All of a sudden I just knew that he was going to kiss me. I didn’t know if I should let him kiss me or pull away because we had just met that afternoon. He moved slowly, giving me the option to move away if I wanted to. But the thing was that I didn’t want to move. I actually wanted him to kiss me so I stood there and watched his head dip down slowly before his lips finally touched mine. The kiss was incredible. I haven’t really dated much since High School so it’s been a while since I’ve kissed anyone. But Jason was just so sweet and patient that before I knew it I was just as involved in the kiss as he was. We kissed for what felt like long magical hours, but in reality it was probably just a couple of minutes before we drew apart. I was so shaken up by the kissed that I quickly excused myself and practically ran into the bathroom to try to compose myself. I could feel my heart beating a mile a minute and my pulse were racing. I quickly splashed some cold water onto my face and took a couple of deep breaths. After a few minutes I felt more calmed and walked back out into the kitchen. Jason smiled at me and asked if I was ready to leave. I nodded and we walked out the door together. As we walked down the street to my place we didn’t do much talking as we were each loss in our own thoughts. Before I knew it we had reached my driveway. I quickly thanked Jason for dinner and for walking me home than give him a quick hug. Before he left he asked if it was okay if he took me out to dinner in a couple of days because he really wanted to get to know me better. I told him that that sounded like a good idea. Jason left with a promised that he’ll come around tomorrow. *************************** Geesh.....is my story really that boring......appears as if not too many peeps is reading it........ah well.........i'll just keep updating as i get more anyways........this is my story and i'm actually really writing it for me.....so....."boo-yah" to ya all.......j/k....
