This is totally in the wrong area of the forums, but since Cookie Fest seems to be down and out now, this is the best spot!
I am just checking in as The Sims 4 was released in the US yesterday, and is due out here in the UK on Friday. I have got my copy preordered (*excited face*) and I'm really looking forward to moving to the world of Sims 4.
I'm thinking of joining a new community for the game - a lot of my enjoyment of Sims 2 came out of being a part of a community like this forum used to be. It'll be a forum of some sort, and once I've signed up I shall leave my username details here in case anyone (if anyone still frequents CF!) is getting Sims 4 and wants to still be in contact.
I hope those of you that still visit CF are well, and I hope you enjoy Sims 4, wherever you are!

Hi Kate, It has been a looooong time (I just looked at my registration date it has been over 8 years) I remember the good old days it was a huge amount of fun oh the memories. This little community was small enough that you knew everyone. I have only in the last 3 months started playing the Sims (2 & 3) again and remembered this place. Now Sims 4 I am still on the fence about.I have been watching youtube videos and reading the early reviews. At this stage I think I am going to wait and see. Cheers FOS (I had to check posts to see what my username was )

wow! long time no see guys! I still check the forum every now and then to see if anyone has been around. It's sad we kind of all just fell apart. I would love to know any new forum you find because i agree one of the best things was talking about the game with others. I kinda get my fix of that on Plurk... I was there because of Secondlife and the huge community of SLers, but turns out a lot of them also play Sims and other games. Though sometimes i feel not everyone is into seeing as many pictures as i post, so would be nice to find a new place full of just Sims people. I got Sims4 and have been posting a few pictures on my Flickr if you are interested www.flickr.com/photos/dizzysparrow/ I played the game a lot when if first came out, but I have not played too much recently. Crazy work hours and the fact it is just base game with not too much new, I got bored fast. There are some really nice new things about it, but at the same time it also feels like they took a step backwards from the game advances they made with Sim3. I have actually been thinking of clearing out all the cc (other than eyes and skin) on TS3 so it loads faster and playing that again. At least until there is more content for TS4.

Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone was still out and about on this board....wow I myself got caught up in real life and haven't had the time to keep up. I decided to check in to say hi but it seems like it is a ghost town right now. What really reminded me to check was going back over a few files I have of stories I was starting here on Cookiefest. I have been playing around with Sims 4 but it still doesn't seem as great as Sims 3 (hopefully it will get there in time). My sim 3 doesn't seem to want to work so I'm kinda stuck with Sims 4 LOL. Hope everything is going ok with everyone else.

Hi all!
Glad to see some familiar faces! I do pop in here from time to time (although I can't actually remember the last time I did, life has been crazy)!
The Sims 4 was a bit of a disappointment for me. I hardly played it when I first got it, and it's only recently that I've got into the game a bit more. I think the gameplay lacks in comparison to TS3, and I am seriously missing having toddlers. It's not completely awful though, and I am currently having fun progressing a Simmie through several aspirations. Thank goodness for hacks, that's all I say!
Hope you are all well x
