Well one of my mine distractions, Glitch, is now closing. I am very sad, but really thinking about getting Seasons as an early Happy Christmas to Me present and start playings sims again. Well that is unless I find something new to fill the void of Glitch and distract me from Sims

I am SO sad about the closure of Glitch. Still. It has been a few months, but every now and again I get a real pang and find myself thinking about how great it was. A puppy! How cute! What has been distracting me from Sims for *almost* a year? Well... - I bought a MacBook Pro at the end of 2011 and it quickly became my main PC. I gave my Windows PC to my Mum, as she was in desperate need of a new one. Although I have TS3 installed on my MBP, I can't deal with how choppy it is. I'm hugely fussy, obviously!
- Work. Got to pay the bills some how!
- PS3 games! Mainly Skyrim and (a vaguely similar one called) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. A lot of my spare time is spent on these.
That's about it, really.

I spend quite a lot of time with Skyrim as well, only the PC version. I have made it through Dawnguard downloaded extra and have now started the Dragonborn downloadable extra. Also been spending a lot of time in Secondlife again.
At christmas my mom bought me a new ipad so I have been playing a few games on there. Particularly one called Clash of Clans. I started a clan and my mom and a few of my friends have joined it. It's pretty fun and there is a real time clan chat so a lot of the time is spent just chatting on there. It's a little silly talking to my mom on a game and then having her say something like "I just raided someone and flattened them and stole all their gold!"
Also the whole work thing which really sucks and I hate it, but soon I wont have to deal with this place any more as I am moving. So packing is also becoming a huge new distraction for me.

Skyrim DLC has just recently been made available on the PSN, so since it was on sale for the first week I bought the Dragonborn one (I think). Haven't played it too much as I really wanted to complete Kingdoms of Amalur first, and I was getting a bit confused by the controls since I'm finding I need to learn how to play Skyrim all over again.
Congratulations on the move! Are you moving far? Can completely understand the packing situation!

Yeah I am moving back to California where I used to live a whole state and part away. Not looking forward to the drive. It's about 10 hours in a normal car with not too many stops. With a moving truck it will be a lot slower going over the mountains. Crazy! So just for the heck of it I looked at distances of cities in the UK by driving to give an idea of the distance I am moving and it basically encompasses the full length of the UK. Crazy to think that nearly a whole country can fit in the span of a state or two. (sorry late night tired musings). I could go from London to a bit past Inverness in the distance I am moving. *Sorry again, the UK is also on my mind because two family friends have been traveling over there for the last week and I envy them so much! (Although I think they are heading to France today or tomorrow.) With all my traveling to weird places it's always been my dream to go to England and Scotland. Two places loads easier to get to than some of the places I have been and I have yet to make it O.O Of course it did not help my jealousy any to have my mom nagging me had I been living at home all this time i could have been saving money and gone traveling with them. Oh well, one of these days I will make it over there.

Hallo if anyone is still around.
I just moved home a few months ago from Portland back to California. I really dislike moving, well at least not long distances. I don't think I'll be leaving this area again any time soon.
Anyways i finally got my computer hooked up and I had some gift cards and bought the Seasons and Uni eps for the game. The last two days I have been playing a lot! It was nice taking a huge break from it cause now the game is fun again. I haven't really played with the university part of the game yet as my sim was way to poor to afford it even with financial aid. Plus now she has gotten married and just had her first child. I figure I will send him to uni. By the time he is ready for it his mom will be a big time book author and his dad a hot shot ghost hunter!
The seasons are pretty fun though. I have gone through summer and fall. Each seasons has a festival day and there is a big to do at the town square with fun activities. Just did Spooky day and it was rather fun. Can't want to see for the other seasons.
So Sims has now become a distraction for me again after not playing for ages! And I just saw today they have announced a sims 4! The character modding features look really neat. Guess I will hold off buying too many more things for this game if next year they are launching the new one.
If anyone is still around.... I closed the site to new people to join. I logged on the other day and we had been over run with spammers all about kitchen cabinets. Looks like they had a field day making a ton of threads in most of the topics and boards. I deleted the threads, banned and deleted all the spammer accounts and then just closed the new registrations. Figured we are not actual active anyways so there is no way for new people to find us anyway.

Congratulations on the move, Diz! I know I'm a bit late to the party (if you can call 4 months a "bit late"!!!) but I hope it all went well.
Life is a very big distraction for me nowadays. I play TS3 every now and then (and will probably be preordering TS4 a bit closer to release day) and try to pop my head in here a bit. Good idea about closing the forum to new signups - I think we'd turn into 'Spam Fest' as opposed to 'Cookie Fest' since we aren't really around to keep a watch on the place much any more.
I certainly miss the days of being able to play Sims solidly and post the day away here...ah, the perks of being a grown up! Heehee.

Glad to see you are still out there. I was getting worried that by closing sign ups I some how blocked the whole site. I would check in from time to time and see that no one had been here. Life has a way of getting in the way for sure. I am all moved in. Actually the finishing construction just got done last weekend to my room. I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but I had to move back home... as in back in with my mom. She is getting older and has some health issues. She turned the garage into a sort of studio apartment for me so I would have my own space and my own entrance. I just use the bathroom and kitchen in the house. We have plans later to build a bathroom out here. It's pretty nice and roughly the same size as the studio i was living in when i first moved to Portland. It's tough to move back home at my age and live with my mother because no matter my age i am always the kid, but it's nice to have my own space to escape to. TS4 looks pretty neat! I got a couple stuff packs and some EP's for TS3 for christmas and as I opened the last one to load there was an ad for "The Sims 4 Coming 2014!" I guess I waited a bit long to get the other EPs for TS3. Oh well I can enjoy them for a little while. I don't play much just recently have been a bit with the new expansions I got. I so miss the days of all the people on CF and chatting with everyone and sharing sim stories. as you said.. the perks of being a grown up. Good to hear from you
