I only have two pictures at the moment because I am still fiddling with my graphics.. they kinda suck. They game started off with everything at way low and I have been slowly bringing them up testing how slow my game runs and such, but my computer is just getting a bit too old now. Anyways I have been too embarrassed of my graphics to take more pictures yet. This first picture is one of my pet peeves. So far my sim has only had the option of making gruel or soups and she eats them with her cupped hand! HELLO! You can not stick yer bare hand into boiling hot soup it would burn! The second is of a relative of my sim. She was trying to learn her family crest and this "cousin" came. The only reason i took a picture is because his name was Jace! Later my sim found out that he was a fake that had intercepted her letter to her real family and she had him fed to the beast in the pit. But because I am still learning the camera controls she didn't get there in time to see him eated.

I am back with more pictures. Am sick and tried to lay down, but couldn't breathe so I couldn't sleep so I played for a while. It's nice to have a game that does not take half an hour or longer to load up. I placed a wizard's tower today and made my wizard evil. Didn't take too many pictures, but this was interesting. He was tired and I was searching his three story tower for a bed and found none o.O Odd. So i was about to click on him to see if i could figure out what to do when all of the sudden he started meditating.. and I noticed his energy level going up. So if you have not gotten there yet, now you know the wizard meditates to sleep and it only takes him about 4 or 5 hours to be fully energized. The next building I placed was a tavern and got a Bard so i did a quest so i could play with him. I guess I should have placed the barracks first because highwaymen abound in my kingdom :/ The bard got mugged. The dancing is kinda fun to watch... it's all old world like Here is the bard preforming a play with the queen.. in costume. Later I was doing another quest with my blacksmith and he too got robbed. He got home and was starving! Made himself some tasty trout soup.. set it down and turned his back to grab the salt and this fat dude that happened to be in his shop sat down and ate his soup!! That is it for now.

I am not quite sure what has happened to the servant to my queen all of the sudden one day I noticed he was all dirty and in his underwear and limping and holding his belly. He has since changed back to his normal clothes but is still limping around everywhere. The blacksmith's wife is expecting again. I just love how my Queen looks all rawr! when she is practicing with her sword. The blacksmith was off running an errand for the Queen when he got a notice to name his new son! When he got home it was there in a little cradle. Here is his first son playing with the new one. I thought that was a cute interaction and hope with the new TS3 EP they will be adding new familial interactions. (rumors are the next EP is called Generations and has a lot to do with families... which I think would be nice, but it's all rumors right now.) And here is the new son once he grew into a strapping young lad. They got straight from babies to kids in this game... and I have been reading on other places that they don't age after that :/ Which kinda sucks.. I think they should have put some of the story mode type things into this game like from TS3.... i will save the rantings for another thread.

Okay I have a lot of pictures this time. The spy feeds the beast O.O It then turned and looked to her.. maybe to eat her too, but decided not this time and sank back into it's fog shrouded pit. These thieves are getting bold now! The spy caught this one just strutting around the castle. One of the spy's daily duties was to pickpocket, but she is a new spy and sucks so she got caught and had to spend some time in the stocks. if you are wondering why she is in bandages... she encountered 3 different people trying to mug her in the last hour and being the bloodthirsty sim she is she never backs down from a fight... well she is a little hurt from some wounds and because there is no apothecary she can't get medicines. There is a weak medicine in the village shoppe, but it didn't really work and she just got mugged again on the road back from the village o.O The spy was taking part in a scavenger hunt quest and one of the items she was looking for was in the area of the pit of judgment. She couldn't find anything and the last place to look was in the actual pit itself. :/ So she dove in and started looking... she did find the item, but she then had to fight with the beast. Finally I saw her climbing up the side of the pit... She had survived! Another person being mugged inside the castle :/ On another quest my knight was eloping with a poor sweeping girl. For eloping though they waited to start the ceremony for a bunch of the villagers to show up in the forest. o.O And the little marriage fairy to come down and marry them. My knight was supposed to report into the queen, but it was like 2:30 in the morning and he thought she'd be asleep so he waited till morning. Only problem is the queen thought that was too late because she is a very unrealistic queen and wanted to be bothered in the middle of the night, so she sentenced the newlywed knight to death He put up a good fight But in the end the beast was too strong for him and he was eated. (ohh... Grimmy is all fancy in medieval times.) That's all for now.

Man, I've been wanting to get this game but then again I've been sorta edgey about getting it.. I think it'd get sorta boring fast :/..
Yea, I want to ask since you have it already, what WOULD you rate it out of 10 ;P?

I donno what I would rate it. I am having fun playing it, but it's hard to not long for some aspects of other sims games.. even though the developers said to NOT expect a normal sims game just set in medieval times.
As I said i am having fun, but some of the quests are really easy and quick and are over very quickly... there is not the same amount of game play as normal sims games so you don't really get that attachment to the sims you play... well at least i haven't. I just finished the first ambition which is new beginnings and found that you don't even get the choice to carry on with you existing kingdom to do other ambitions. So I just spent all that time building up this one kingdom... took me most the ambition to get all the buildings (actually still never got one of them) and now I have to start over with a new kingdom. I think it would have been cool to have the choice to carry on with the current kingdom, but have it be that all the kids of it grow up and they are now the new generation.. and the king/queen's son or daughter would then become the ruler. I mean as an option... still having the option to create a new kingdom.
There are quite a few ambitions and I have not played the new one too much to see if there are a lot of new and different quests to be played. Otherwise i do agree and the game can become a little boring.
I donno what i would rate it. I like it and I am having fun playing it. It's nice to have a sims game i can play some times quickly and it loads fast (my TS3 game takes about 30-40 minutes to load). It's also a nice game for a break from the normal sims game. But yeah I donno what number I would rate it at I think i need to play more to see if there are new quests for the different ambitions.

I don't think I'll be getting the game then If you can't even keep working on the one kingdom, and the kids don't grow up.. that just sucks. I thought it would be like the Sims 3, generations growing up in the kingdom.. ALL IN ALL; I think they should have added more Sims 3 features into the game if thats how its like :/. But, after that, I think maybe I WILL get the game. All those things above suck, but it would be nice to just take a break from the original game and play the Sims Medieval quests and such for a little.. Oh and also, IK, I play the Sims 2 and the Sims 3 occasionally, but it does take FOREVER to load up.. . I'll have to think about getting the game or not ^_^. I'm undecided atm. Thanks for the feedback .

Yeah you just really have to look at it as a totally new game and forget all you know of existing sims games... as that is what the makers said to do. In all the videos and reports of this game the creators repeated over and over that this is NOT just another sims game it's an entirely different being. thinking it that way it is a fun game.

My Queen was sparing with a guard... it may look like she is in trouble, but she was actually kicking the guys butt! The Queen decided it was time to have an heir, so she went to think out love strategies. After searching through the men in the kingdom and putting a few through some test she finally found her match and married him and an open air ceremony in the forest. They went to the tavern to celebrate, but decided to borrow the room upstairs instead of drinking any mead. o.O While I gave them some privacy I noticed down stairs the wife of the knight that had been killed. Awww.. the poor thing. The Queen is expecting! She had a little baby girl! Cool thing in this game is the female breast feed.. well i think it's cool anyways.

Dizzy your pictures are lovely...is it bad that I didn't really know this game existed until yesterday?
I like the fact they have breast feeding in this game...like others have said it would be nice to have this feature in TS3. Also I like the fact the Sims get the chance to fight that big scary monster...although I think if I had this game that'd probably give me nightmares for weeks.
