- Getting an essay back today i thought i did terrible on... AND GETTING A 68!!!!!!! A 68!!!! Never thought i had that in me at ALL!! Easy the best essay mark i EVER got!!! :bouncy: Soo hyper now!!

- Its FRIIIDAYYYY
- i got a letter this morning from my uni, offering me a conditional place on the PGCE course, as long as i get a health check, pass a CRB and most importantly... pass my degree! It was weird opening it, I knew i was going to get it, but seeing it in writing just made it real. I think i finally know its what i really want to do. I feel excited, and like i can't wait to get on with my life!

A PGCE = Post Graduate Certificate in Education. It's a year course you do after doing a degree to get your QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), so you can become a teacher. It's lots of lectures and about 15 full weeks teaching practice, of which i will be teaching classes pretty much all day every day, and being watched and assessed while am doing it. Scary stuff! CRB check = Criminal Records Bureau check. Its a check they do to make sure i have to have no criminal record before they'll let me onto the course because i will be working with young children (vulnerable people). |
