In order to try and boost up interest and activity, here are a few pics for you of my Magician Sim in Showtime.

Oh yes. It's glitchy as heck, but..... the newest feature they have in it is that you can Simport your Sims into another player's game briefly, then return home.. They earn badges, achievements and boost their careers.

You've got to be logged into your Sims3.com account and Origin account - since they've co-mingled, in order to send (simport) Sims to other folks' games. No need to upload a Sim to share with others. Now you can actually see their progress whilst your Sim is still in game. You get pop up notifications in game that you can ignore or reply to, and they'll show up on your Sim Page.

You don't need to login, but it helps.

There are four new careers: Singer, Acrobat, Magician and Dee Jay.
As Sims progress, the get brand new actions and costumes. They also unlock brand new venues during their promotions. From the Park gigs, to sell out stadiums when they reach the top of their careers.

The problems that have arisen though .... and there are some, that we can jolly well rely on here ..... some Sims go missing, the tours don't often work especially if you're trying to Simport a Sim with even the tiniest bit of CC on them, games freeze and seriously lag. You need to continuously upgrade your Origin account, just to make sure you're logged in. Oh and it sometimes takes AGES to save the game. I've sometimes had to force my game to close without managing to save.

But meh, it's the Sims!!! We overlook these things... because of our Sim families LOL

Can you tell... I'm uber-excited about this one??

Oh by the way, there are 3 versions to choose from

The 'basic' Showtime EP
The Limited Edition EP (not much difference except for a swanky new stadium arena that you've got to claim from the Store)
The Katy Perry Edition (has a bunch of new stuff, costumes etc. but... as far as I know, no Katy Perry Sim - so it's -in my honest opinion- not worth the extra pennies for a few little scraps)

I'll keep posting Azzie's progress if you wish. He's at Level 8 already and is on the cusp of playing gigs at the stadium

Interesting. If I tire of Skyrim any time soon i will look into this new EP..lol I think it may be a while though.

Love this EP is so cute. BUT with you on the buggy..OMG!! So annoying and to have to log into Origin...BLAH!

I had the SAME problem of my game freezing at odd times...some times it would be a constant thing..this was BEFORE this ep though. After A LOT of frustration, searching, instal and re instal of games...I came across a forum where someone else had the same issue. They said that it was because there was a sim SOMEWHERE in one of your worlds (yes plural) that was stuck and unable to move. They suggested ResetSim *
It means ALL sims EVERYWHERE go home. I tried it and no worries, game ran like it used to before the problem. Of course it comes back every now and then but I just do the ResetSim * and no problems again.
