I know it's been a long time since I played this odd couple, and given you any updates. So I thought I'd bring you all bang up to date with them.
They both celebrated their birthdays almost together. So now they're both Adults. And with that comes the notorious Mid Life Crisis.
For Mick, life was just great as it was, no biggie, he was getting along just fine, perhaps freaking out a little now and then about not getting further up the corporate ladder, but that's what Ambitious does to you.
Harvey however, was a completely different story. Mid Life Crisis hit him HARD. He wanted to move house, quit his job, change jobs, live abroad. Everything was thrown at him at full pelt.
At the same time, both guys had started dating women. Harvey was the first to grab the girl. A Sim called Narcissa. Whilst Mick managed to snatch one of his fans .... none other than Madison Van Watson from the Working Friends house.
Things were getting from bad to worse for Harvey, he was getting stressed out of his brain, thanks to this darned Mid Life Crisis. So he and Madison agreed upon a house swap. She could go live with Mick, he could find somewhere new to stay.
Madison agreed to this on one condition. That Mick propose to her. So he did, and they married rather quickly so that the deal was sealed.
And this is where the story now begins....
With Maddy and Mick.
I wasn't happy with both of them and their current 'looks' so I decided to makeover Maddy first.
I was having so much fun with the new stuff from Master Suite, until the darned game crashed on me and I lost all progress.
But still, I managed to get a couple of pics of her in her saucy underwear. Makes a change from that horrid pink quilted housecoat she was wearing.
So, attempt number two came along. This time I picked on Mick and gave him a swanky new look. He didn't appear too happy actually, but BLEH. It's about time he wore something different from all black!!!
And then it was back to Maddy. On closer inspection, I noticed that she wasn't a natural blonde. Her hair was actually a dark auburn colour, and the blonde covering it was a really bad colour job!!!
So I reverted her back to her natural colour.
Now that she's the wife of a rock star, she needed just a little TLC and some plastic surgery. Thankfully, with the combined savings of both Harvey, Mick and Maddy, she could afford to get some expensive plastic surgery done at the hospital.
She was taking a great risk here too, since she now discovered she was pregnant!!! But, vanity got the better of her and off she went.
So, with a tweak here and a pull there, I made a few subtle changes to her face and sent her on her way.
One of her wishes was to be a Stylist. So, after joining that career path, I indulged her in a couple of things to help her along with her quest. Including a drafting board, and a makeover station.
The first 'victim' she picked on, was Mick.
He'd been so happy, practising on the drums, when she called him over.
He stood on the platform whilst she picked and pulled at his clothing style.
And then made an attack on his long waist length hair, telling him that he needed something a little more 'fashionable'.
The first style she chose.... didn't do him any justice whatsoever. So she went for another style. Chopping a couple of inches off the bottom and putting a couple of loose waves in around the edges.
When she was finished, she stood back and admired her handiwork.
Mick's reaction?
He burst into tears!!!!
Bless him, he was totally devastated!!! He'd worked hard to get this image, and now it had been totally ruined!!!!!
