Hey everyone. These are two questions that I have been meaning to ask. I just never had the chance and I've sorta gotten used to it, but now I would like to change.
So my first question is, isn't there a way to get rid of custom content in-game? I know there's like a delete option at the bottom of buy/build mode where I think you can delete items. but, I'm not sure. If so, where do the items go? Do they go to the recycling bin on the desktop, or do they go to some nowheresville folder.
My other question is that my screen in-game isn't confirgured right, so I can't have both the needs section open and the aspiration open. It's a weird setting that came with vista. So, I was wondering if there is a right setting for the sims 2. On top of that, my monitor is widescreen, so that might also have something to do with it....I'm not sure.
If anyone needs me to post pics to describe what I'm talking about, then just ask. I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance.
;D

OH MAN I know the answers to these questions, but I can't remember the answers exactly to say off the top of my head... so before I check in game I'll give you brief answers... Q1. There is a way to get rid of custom content in game. When you click on a CC item, you should get a little tiny trash can come up on the item description. I think that's what it is, it may have a little arrow on it too. To delete the item just click it. I'm not sure where they go, although I can say I don't think they go into the Recycling Bin on the desktop. Presumably they disappear into thin air... Q2. Hmmm, I don't play TS2 on Vista so I'm not really sure what's going on, but have you been through the Setting menus?! The one you want (I think) is the one detailing graphic effects, shadows and lighting and so forth. I think there's an option there where you can adjust the screen size - your screen resolution (e.g. mine is 1280x1024) should come up. Just click on it, apply the settings and your TS2 screen size should alter. As I said above I'm not sure if those instructions are entirely accurate, if I've got a bit of time this afternoon, I'll load up the game and get more up-to-date details

I think i remember reading that even though you have deleted the cc from the game it doesn't go off yer computer, that you then have to actually go into yer downloads folder adn find the items and get rid of them that way also. I remember deleting a ton of things and still having them be in the downloads folder.

yar, i think so.
Probably cause it's just a program that doesn't have rights to delete things from yer computer.

I wonder if someone has made a program for sifting through and deleting furniture custom content? I know The Sims 2 Wardrobe exists for going through and reorganizing (or deleting) hairs and clothing... it would make life easier if someone had done

I think the sims 2 pack clean installer (or whatever it is exactly) Allows you to veiw your custom content and delete/download things easier. But, I don't particularly want to download something to get rid f custom content one by one. Allow veiwing it would help...
Where is that wardrobe you're talking about, kate?

It's called The Sims 2 Wardrobe Wrangler, and it allows you to keep clothing, hair, genetics and accessories easily. If you'd like to download it, it's the second item on the page here. It's very handy for a neat/organisational freak like me ;D
