Eh.....But it's the same response I have for every thing.
I still need to get kitchen and baths though......I like some of the items in the pics for apartment life. Like the huge t.v., fold down bed, and the windows. ;D

I'm reading through that at the moment, the pictures that they took from the day look interesting. I like the idea of banging on someone's wall if they get too noisy And I want a butler too, hehe! Also had a thought about this EP in terms of a legacy... if the founder moved into an apartment block, as the new generations came along the spares could easily be moved into the other apartments in the building and act as NPC's... that way they don't disappear forever

Ok I'm double posting but I don't care... I noticed in one of the screenshots that there is a heading which says "You Can Has Cheezbur...". Is this a reference to LOLCATS or are my eyes deceiving me and it doesn't actually say this?! I've also noticed that most of the other headings say "TEMP" though, so I doubt that will be there upon the real release of the EP... damn...

I hate that all the other siblings just disappear.. but it's so hard switching from home to home it's just not worth the hassle! And I see the lolcats reference too! Lol. Didn't notice that first time round. Hope the "TEMP" stuff stays

I've been flip flopping about with this ep. First it was 'nay, not gonna happen' because of all the rubbish going down with ea. Then I read all the wonderful stuff they're including and it was 'yip, this is gonna happen'. But now I've been hear (or reading) some rumours that speculate that ea might be including that 3 keygen thing, so now its 'hmmm, maybe'. Seriously, whats up with ea and this vendetta they have with the world. Us poor users are getting slammed because they can't deal with the fact that the world has hackers in it, and that aint gonna change anytime soon. Anyway, back on topic. I really, really like the kids stuff they're including. I find my kiddies get bored to quick and run off to the tv or computer. Not healthy, they should be outside getting struck by lightning LOL. The spiral stairs is uber cool, and the witch looks very interesting. All in all this does look like a great pack, it includes almost everything we've been asking for for a long time. It looks to have an enormous amount of stuff, but that worries me to with the track record of glitches. But this could turn out to possibly be one of the best eps for sims yet........maybe

The "3 keygen" thing? What's that, arinthea? I've not heard about that.

The '3 keygen' is something EA wants to bring into all their stuff now. Basically it only really allows you to install the game 3 times, or on 3 seperate computers only before you need to call them for a new keygen. I'm not entirely sure, but I do know there was a big stink about it with the release of Mass Effect. Especially with the 10 verifaction thing they wanted to bring in, so if a peson doesn't have internet (which is possible with some countries) your not able to play the game after 10 days because you haven't been online to perform the verfication of your game. If it can't verify, then you can't play. EA finally backed down from the 10 day verification on Mass Effect and limited it to when a person downloads additional content for the game instead, but I think they kept the 3 install on it. This is basically the new system EA wants to impliment into all the new games they're releasing, including sims 3. Here are some articles, have a look at them or just google 'EA and 10 days' or 'EA and 3 installs'. You should come up with plenty articles. You could also search 'EA and SecuRom' to find out about all the plans Sony & EA have for future games. www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52618www.dslreports.com/shownews/EA-Scales-Back-Internet-Required-DRM-94327www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26405465To me, the sims 3 is looking very bleak indeed

ARGH. That's horrible news. 3 installs sucks. What about the people who are always reinstalling because they keep encountering problems? I think EA are taking the Michael. It's so... restrictive. I hate restrictions.

Yeah it does suck doesn't it, EA is punishing us for no reason.
Anywho, just to give you guys a heads up, I was reading around the BBS and other sites today. And according to some folks, when EA sneaked that nasty version of SecuRom into the latest patch for Freetime, it also included the 3 keygen install only. I myself haven't downloaded the patch or installed it, so Im unaware if this is true or not. But just thought I'd give you guys a heads up just in case.
But yeah, I'm certainly not buying any game that only allows me to install 3 times. Once the money has left my hand, I consider it mine. Therefore, I can do whatever I want with it. Its almost as if EA is trying to control when and how we play.
Although I will admit, I do still get big shiny eyes whenever I see info on Apartment Life and Sims 3 ;D

My main beef is that they've decided to do the biggest (at leaste it looks to be the biggest) expansion for last, when we all know that the sims 3 is comming out within the next 6 months......

The thing is, They say it will be out Spring '09. But the amount of bugs and issues that will originally start with it, Will mean it's only perfectly playable and majorly bug free around Summer '09. And besides, The Sims 2 won't 'die away' for a good year or so. It's too big to just vanish the instant Sims 3 comes out.
