Good news everybody. After twiddling about with the neighbourhood, I found a way of getting Helen to college after all. However, methinks the house itself is mega glitched, so she won't be moving back in. I just went into the college hood and selected her from the list of teens. So, without further ado, she took up where good old dad left off and is writing her memoirs now. So here it is.... THE GRAYSTONE FAMILY DIARIESAs for the rest of the gang, she's writing updates as she goes along. As soon as the last child leaves, I'll be moving Ambrose and Ginny to a nicer place to retire peacefully, and hopefully have one of the kids return to take over the house and garden.

Oh I'm so glad this is back!! This has brightened a grey start to my year. I'm off to read now, will update this post after I've read the new updates! Ah, all done! They were great I love Helen's new hairstyle, it suits her and is really cute! Ambrose made me laugh in that update, he was obviously very worried about Helen! I'm tempted to dye my purple after seeing the "Dorm Trend"... if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me (kidding)! I'm looking forward to seeing how Helen gets on with Dorian

Thanks, I'm glad I managed to resurrect this family. Although they've got a few glitches and problems, I'm not giving up on them just yet.
Helen is such a sweetheart, really, and to think, she's painfully shy (1 point), she's head over heels with Dorian. But he was the one that fell in love first.
Awwww
And I loved the 'purple hair' trend too. It was just too good an opportunity to miss when I saw them all sporting purple hair....

Here's a quick update for you all. Because I couldn't get anybody to age, I moved them out and into brand new premises. Fingers crossed this works, but here's Helen's POV on the new house soniabigcheese-cosycornersims2.blogspot.com/

As I'm finding I'm losing interest in Sims 2 (gasp!!!! oh noes!!!), I haven't had time nor opportunity to play in a long long time. But, just for the heck of it, I decided to play this dysfunctional family once more, just to see what happens. Be prepared.... s'all I'm sayin' soniabigcheese-cosycornersims2.blogspot.com/

I have some really distressing news to report. I haven't been in this family for a while and thought I'd pop in, just to check in on them.
And they've vanished.
All of them.
From college, from the apartments everything. There's not sign of then whatsoever. I've checked the family bin, the lot bin, even the sub hoods, just to see if they're there.
And..... .... nothing....
No Gorgeous George, no Cleve, no Dorian.
The sub hoods have all been wiped clean too. All the families that were supposed to come with Bluewater Village, Downtown and La Fiesta Tech.
Gone too.
It's as if Riverblossom View has completely reset itself.
I could use the family in Pleasantview, but that means that Ambrose never went to college, never met Dorian, so Helen will never meet Dorian, nor will we be introduced to Cleve or gorgeous George (who, I must say.... was strictly a one-off character created in game and NOT in BodyShop)
Soo. I need advice.
Should I quit the family altogether, or play the one in Pleasantview (bearing in mind that Helen is still a child and the twins haven't been born yet)

I have decided NOT to continue with this family after all. There's to much work to be had, and there's no guarantee that they'll get to meet their significant others in the future.
So... it's a fond farewell to Ambrose and the gang. *sniff*
