What would you guys like to do?

On behalf of the mods (even though I didn't actually talk to you guys) at cookie fest, I would like to open this thread as a way to talk to the members.

I know some of us are excited for the Sims 3 (me!), and some of us want some damn info good info on it (again, me!) but I'd like to get some opinions on a something.

Would you all like to have the Sims 3 here on cookie fest. As in, the same things we do with the Sims 2. (Sim 2 chat, stories and pictures...) Or would you rather stay loyal with just the Sims 2.

I mainly want to see how you all feel about the Sims 3 and whether your willing to make cookie fest a little larger. Kate has already made this new section to the board, but currently it is going to be used for Sim 3 speculation. News and such. But we can easily get rid of it when the Sims 3 comes out or convert it into a Sims 3 discussion and sharing place.

Overall it may just be a decision made by the mods here, but I'd still love to hear ll of your opinions.

Maybe we can do both? I mean people are still going to have The Sims 2 when 3 comes out for a while anyways....then sometime afterwards convert this board into mainly a Sims 3 board but still have a smaller section for Sims 2. I do like the idea of having both on this board. Be even neater if we could make a small section for Spore too (hint hint ;D ).

That is what I'm hoping to be able to do.

We could consider making a spore section. I know that quite a few poeple sound interested in it. So, that could be a possibility. ;D

What I was planning to do (which I was going to take up with the rest of the mods a few months before TS3 arrives) was to keep the Sims 2 boards up for a few months, because there might be some people who want to keep updating stories, pictures, chat etc.

Also - speaking from my own personal view - I don't think I'll get my hands on TS3 straight away, I'll probably wait for others to get their paws on it and see screenies before I buy.

But after a couple of months I was thinking of merging the whole TS2 section into one, so we have one general board and then inside it, lots of multiple boards. A bit like the Arcade/Games section down below.

TS3 would then get a section like the current TS2 one - just a bit of a rejig really!

I'm with you on the subject on buying TS3, I'm not sure I'll be buying it right away. But your plan sounds very thoughtful. I like it. ;D

When the sims 3 comes out, i am going to sell all of my sims 2 games so i can get money to buy the EP's.

But, what if you end up not liking the Sims 3. Than you would have lost all your The Sims 2 in the process and end up with having to spend even MORE money to buy your Sims 2 games bk.

I have decided to buy The Sims 3, & If I like it, I will sell one of my EXPS.
Eventually, If I end up getting tired of the Sims 3, I can have my Sims 2, with all my presious downloads and stuff

I also agree with Kate. I still do want a section for The Sims 2, just incase I need to go back to it
