Ok all the other sims sites are starting to talk about it, so I thought it was about time we had our own thread on it too! What do you all think? Are you ready for it? Are you looking forward to it? Do you want it? Do you think it'll be any good? Or if you have any information about it's release you want to share, post in this thread... I'll start with ea is opening an official site for it on the 19th of March here: thesims3.ea.com/And snooty sims has a screenshot of the front cover of a magazine which is coming out in april/may and some brief info from it... Soooo.. what do ya reckon?!

I reckon this means a new computer for both my husband and I . Which means spending more money then the game is worth to even play the darn thing , but buy we shall EA has got us shackled to their games .

I am to Kate (miss TS2) but the thing is are they going to make things REALLY different, or just going to give ts2 a new name but be the same game?

Here is my veiw point right now.
The fact that the only thing we can base this game off of is the very poor little teaser that came with newest TS2 ep, a site with no info yet, and a faily nice picture of a magazine cover that has a bunch of stuff posted all over it, all I can say is "Meh".......
Now, the only reason I can even say this is....its waaay to early. There isn't enough to base a good opion. But, I'm certainly not jumping for joy cuss I'm so sastisfied with the sims 2 and really can't see many improvments. Ofcourse there are tons of things to improve. But I still have to wait for my wow factor to kick in and lemme start drooling over The Sims 3. It comes out sometime in late novemeber. That's a long ways away. So until I get some nice solid info (and nice snazzy pics as well) I'm just sticking my ground as "Meh"....
Although that very pretty and eyecatching picture on the site with plumbo and 3 is very nice..... ;D OOOOO!
But it's still a "Meh"
March 19th everyone. Lets just wait and see. "Popcorn anyone?" *sits and waits*

It comes out sometime in late novemeber. I don't think it's gonna come out that early anti, 2009 at the earliest... Which is probably why we've had so little info on it. Also, you know ea/maxis like to keep us in suspense, it's a sales tactic... And I was thinking, I wasn't that excited about it.. but then I was the same for TS1 I really liked that and was worried TS2 might not be as good... but it clearly was! So am crossing my fingers and hoping TS3 will be the same.

Hmmm....well, I could have sworn that I saw somewhere late Q4 which is somewhere in the late 4th quarter of the year. Oh well. You do bring up a good point Calada. And I know myself, and I know that I'm going to start complaining over it taking so long as soon as we get some rea juicy info on the game. *sigh* Just how I am with the sims.... Snooty sims did post a little thing with a short interveiw with a producer of sims 3.

The TS3 website opens in 6 days. I can't quite figure out whether I'm excited or what... I guess I'm experiencing a little bit of sadness as TS2 has given me so much fun and it's sad to see it's coming to an end... I wasn't in this deep with TS1 so I was excited when TS2 came around. I'll probably get more excited when there are solid trailers, screenshots etc. That's always the way. ...Oh, and a release date too.

D: I hope my vid card will hold up.. I just got it and doubt I'll have the money even in a year to buy another. I doubt I'll have the money for buying new games for that matter. Like kate i am a bit sad. I never played TS1 so didn't have the trouble with that. But will be sad to see TS2 die out. All the custom content made for it and the sites :/ And then those of us that wont be able to get the new game to play so we'll be stuck with the old will be ignored Also sad as it still seemed there was more they could have done with this game. And that a lot of the eps made for the new game will most likely be different just as they were different from TS1 to TS2... I guess unless they add in some of the ep things as basics into the next game, like weather, cars, dating.. etc... Would be nice to have those features for any game, but sucks that it would then take up at least 3 eps for the game, when there are other possibilities for eps... though i doubt maxis would give us a base game that complete.

For those of you who don't know, snooty sims has posted quite a few screens for the sims 3. www.snootysims.com/thesims3index.php?id=thesims3It looks like half walls and gardening are the only things srtaying that I can tell. I'm excited about the vast variety of sizes for sims. I also am very excited about the interactive neighborhood, but I could see that as being VERY needy as computer tech is required. Probably need 2 gb of ram as a very minumum. And who knows 2.6 processor. HOLY CRAP!!!!

Went to the site, attempted to look at the screenshots but they didn't work. So instead I strolled over to Snooty Sims[/url] and have been looking at their TS3 screenshots. It *might* just be me, but TS3 is like an enhanced version of TS2. At least between TS1 & 2 there was a relatively large quality jump. The actual Sims freak me out a little. Oh, and tee hee hee hee:

Some of them do look really weird. But, I think we really need to just get used to the new facial expressions that they have. I think EA is trying to stick to less realistic poeple and more cartoony expressions. I think they want us to realize that the sims is meant to be a funny, exagerated form of humanity. ;D But, I could be very very wrong. I do like the pic with the four room comparisons with the gilr on the computer. I really like a lot of that furniture and decor. But, I've never quite gotten the whole cheeta theme. I still have not gotten full access to the sims 3 site. I only read a little of the home page and the sims creator page. The sims creator page has some interesting stuff. It says that there are many different personality traits to make many different combinations. It seems really interesting. They also say you can manipulate every single thing on their face, give them any hairstyle you want to give them (little strange there. Don't know how they're going to do that), give them any range of skintone, and be any degree of fitness or width I guess you could say. ;D

Select from dozens of personality traits and combine up to five traits to make a variety of interesting characters, who live in the neighborhood. Will you create an idealistic, creative dreamer who relishes taking risks thanks to his daredevil streak? Will you make an insensitive, drop-dead gorgeous socialite who neglects her romantic side and whose deepest secret is that she is actually a certified genius? It’s entirely up to you.And here is create a home.Create A Home
Design and build homes with complete freedom to customize everything and make your very own neighborhoods. Infinite possibilities to design the interior furnishings of your Sims. Select any color or pattern you can imagine to furniture. Match all your furnishings with the same pattern & color, or mix patterns & colors of the furnishings to create your very own look. The possibilities are endless for creating your Sims home of their dreams. This just gives you access to them for those of you will slow access or something. ;D
I'd suggest going to snooty sims to see the screen shots. They are exactly the same.
