James McAvoy = Yum yum! It's his eyes that get me though... On Saturday night I watched Casino Royale - more sexy eyes, but this time belonging to Daniel Craig!! I have seen it before but I was in the mood for a bit of Bond so I picked that film

Last film I saw was Be Kind Rewind.I had never heard of it, but it was about the only thing playing that late at night that my friends and I could go see. Has Jack Black in it, and it was a pretty funny movie, but not too funny either. And one thing I didn't like was the ending. They didn't really wrap up any of the issues from during the movie and they made the ending too "feel good".

Haven't updated this thread in a while!
But this week I watched Enchanted and P.S I love you.. loving the chick flicks! Hehe. Enchanted was very cute. P.S I love you was ok, quite sad.. It had Gerard Butler in it!! But he was putting on some dodgy Irish accent which I didn't really appreciate...

I couldn't stop crying throughout P.S. I Love You - the tears just wouldn't stop!! Serves me right for seeing a sad film when I was sad beforehand, ehehe...
Last film I watched was Spiderman 3, and my urge to track down and marry James Franco has now returned.

I just finished watching Ghost Ship. It was VERY interesting. The idea for a horror movie that has a ghost ship and fantasy-esque plot themes. I liked it a lot. Very bloody. I also watched it completely through utube. That was also interesting.

I just finished watching The Other Boleyn Girl. It was the equivilent of sandolous and depressing....Even sadder to know that it actualy happened. Very good. Not a movie for little kids. Too many romantic sex scenes as well as a rather frightening semi-rape scene. True.

^ I watched that a few months back, I thought it was quite boring to be honest. The plot jumped around all over the shop, and the only high-point of it really was that Jim Sturgess was in it. Hehehehe.
Natalie Portman's accent was good though, but she's already had practice from where she played Evie in V for Vendetta.

Agree with you Kate, p.s. I love you was SO SAD (just got the chance to watch it). Why did you find the other Boylen girl boring? (I haven't seen it yet and want to, but wont waste my time if it isn't all that great). Though from what Anti is saying it is worth it LOL...*confused*

It is fairly boring. I will admit. It was pretty much completely about what happened behind closed doors to the boleyn family. Some of it was kinda boring. And it skiped around a lot. You would be in one scene and then the next scene, one of them was having a kid. You'd be like. WTF just happened. Although it wasn't too terribly confusing. You understood the story pretty well. I thought that the time it took for one sister to be loving the king and the other too take over was bizarre and kinda took a long time. The first half of the movie was slow and boring. And then the end was kinda fast pasted and almost frightening. Overall. It'sa a good movie if you like historical movies. But, don't watch it with your hopes up and don't compare it to other movies either. All the actors did a very good job though. Except for the more wooden ones like the father. I personally thought that Natalie Portman and Jim Sturgess were the best ones in it. With a close tie of Scralett Johanson. Unfortunately the fate for some of them was really depressing. Kate, did you cry???

^ Anti with a review like that, you should be a movie critic And no, I did not cry, I think I was asleep at that point!! I just thought the plot didn't move fast enough. The action seemed to happen within the last half an hour or so of the film. I also don't think there was enough depth to it - the characters seemed a bit shallow, especially King Henry - don't know what was going on inside his head. But hey Shell you should still watch it, you may have a different take on it than I do

I finally got to see it (The other Boylen girl). And have to agree, it was a tad slow, but in saying that i loved it! Thing is what was with the Uncle controlling everything. Didn't back then the oldest brother make all the decisions..and to me he seemed younger then the father. The ending was sad...but i didn't cry.
