Ta Da! New update And normality is resumed!

8.2 - Cook off

As the last update ended, this one starts with a Birthday! Or.. two birthday's in fact.
Monty and Marta!

But sadly, with a new baby in the family there just wasn't enough room for 4 sims, 4 dogs and the baby!
So.. Cat picked up the phone and called someone...

And soon.. Monty and Marta were no longer part of the family

(Sorry guys, but my laptop can't cope with that many bodies in one house! And as it was, that house got all fudged up so...)

Another generation, another new house!
Cat was sad to see Monty and Marta leave, so she decided it was time for a change. After viewing a few propeties in the neighbourhood, she settled on the perfect one!
Henry, Anna and Castor weren't so sure... but in this family, what Cat wants, Cat gets!

All very clean, crisp, and cream! Much to Cat's liking...
But Anna with her new baby is not so sure...

The first thing Maxx does when he gets into the new house, is start trying to destroy the furniture...

Yeh.. dead good Maxx! Not.. (Perhaps that nice man should come for you too?!)
Cat was not impressed at all!

And none of the family was impressed when they realised Allegra had very quickly discovered their new address and proceeded to yet again steal their (invisible!) newspaper...

A little later that day, it was the first birthday in their new house... Lulu's!

Aw, she's a little old lady dog now...

Meanwhile back at work, Anna was facing her first decision in her new job!

But sadly, she makes the wrong choice...

Never mind Anna, am sure there'll be plenty more opportunities to get things right!

When she comes home from work, she finds poor old Lulu asleep in her bed and decides to take pity on her...

She deserves it after all her hard work!

When Castor comes home from work, he decides to try his hand at pottery making! He's so keen, he gets started before even getting changed from his work outfit!

Sadly for him though, enthusiasm is not directly related to talent.. so his plate doesn't turn out quite as he'd hoped!

Oh dear... better luck next time Castor!

That evening, with her very first baby Elliot to look after, Anna decides to take some time to study parenting...

The next morning, Henry maxes out his creativity skill rocking out on his favourite guitar!

He doesn't have such a good time a bit later though... he has to yet again face his fears and...

Change a stinky diaper!! Argh! Poor Henry.. all alone.. looking after Elliot.. Lol

That evening, when Castor comes home from work and is having a shower to freshen up... a strange man walked into the house.. and into the bathroom after him!!

To invite him to be a member of an Art Studio?! Ok then.. thank you strange man! But could you not have waited to tell him that when he had some clothes on?! Lol

The next day at work, Cat faces a tough decision...

But luckily, she makes the right choice...

Well done Cat!

Anna has the day off, so she decides to spend it studying parenting some more... And it pays off!

She decides to immediately try out her new found skill and goes upstairs to check on Elliot... And what does she find?

Elliot wants to go back in his crib to be comfy... OOkkk then, well that was useful!

Since Elliot seems quite happy in his crib, Anna heads of downstairs to do some more studying...
And has more success!

Mmmm... cheese....

Because of this, it seems Anna attracts the attention of a strange chef man, who wants to invite her to be a member of Sue's (Secret) Kitchen! But since she is upstairs changing Elliot's diaper at the time, he decides to just tell Castor who is sat downstairs watching TV...

Wow! Realllyyy secret if Castor knows about it now too! Sigh.. Sims...

The next day, Anna has another day off. So after Henry (reluctantly) agrees to watch Elliot, she hops in the car for an outing...

Where to I here you cry!!
Well...
Sue's Secret Kitchen of Course!!

Anna decides to ask the ultimate chef-man what his advice is on how he can become a better cook...
And he says...

Wear a funny white hat just like him... OOkk then, thank you very much chef-man! Great advice there... Well...
Anna is a little confused, but decides to stay at the secret kitchen just a little longer.. as she wants to enter a cooking contest!
After a little pondering, she decides to make a delicious Berry pie as she knows she is always good at that!

When it's made, she goes over and places it on the judging table and waits for some more contestants...

And they soon arrive... Anna is real pleased with her berry pie! But.. chef-man enters lobster?!
Hmm.. not so sure about your luck now Anna!

Though.. the girl's on the end doesn't look that appetising!
The judge soon comes over.. and Anna looks on nervously as he tries her pie...

He seems impressed, but there's that darn lobster to try yet!
After trying all the dishes... he takes a moment to make some notes...

And...

Yep.. it's as we feared...

He picks the lobster

Alright chef-man, no need to over-do it! Blah.. he never heard of being a graceful winner!
Never mind Anna, am sure if you keep improving your cooking, you might win another time!
(Especially if he wasn't there! ... *evils* )

But Anna is quite happy to enjoy a nice slice of her berry pie and then head home to her son...

Back at home, Henry was just having a quiet moment.. taking care of some err.. business when in walks some random guy to invite him some Gamer place!

What is it with you hobby people.. can you not respect this family's privacy!? Quit coming round when they're in the bathroom! Sheesh...

When Castor came home from work that day, he had good news...

Well done Castor!

And as it's nearing the end of the week.. Anna decides to voice her opinion on it's events...

Wha?!? You finished Uni, got engaged, married, had your first child and moved house!! What more do you want??!

Anyways, speaking of her first child...
Today was his first birthday!

Happy Birthday Elliot!!

Will he make a cute toddler?
Will Anna ever win a cooking contest?
Will she decide next week is better than so-so?!

SWEET!! New update!! I really liked this one. Lots of hobby stuff.

I agree with you calada. Those guys are alwasys coming around. But, I have 7 poeple in my house!!! There are always poeple calling my sims. It's crazy!!

I can't wait to get my sims to learn the baby skill. ;D Must be really useful. Question: Is it one level for the skill or multiple levels???

Too bad about the contest. I think it's cheating that the chef guy was in the contest. JEEZ!!! How unfair!

And yeh, the hobby people constantly calling the house is getting a little annoying!

The baby skill is ok, but there's a slight glitch where it only works when you have the baby in your arms. You can't click on the crib and have it work, they'll just pick the baby up and not actually check on it. Don't know if it's just my game or a general bug...
And in answer to your Q, it's just one level. It took Anna a little while, but she just had one skill bar to fill up to get it. She can't study for it anymore now.

And I agree, chef-man should be banned from all future contests to give Summers' sims a fair chance lol

Yeah it is an unlockable think. It's only for family sims. And it helps with colds. ;D I had it convenient enough when one of my sims had a cold. Hahahaha!!!

8.3 - Talk to me...

As Elliot's Birthday party ended, Henry stole off to spend some time with Maxx.. and taught him a new command!

He can speak now, yay Maxx Not long before another promotion now hopefully!

And he wasn't the only one learning how to speak.. before Castor put Elliot to bed, he was teaching him too!

Aww Elliot's first word was "high chair" how err.. cute lol

The next day before work, Anna went shopping to buy Elliot a lovely new outfit.

And when she came home, it was time for some potty-training!

Speaking of being happy, someone else was particularly happy that morning too!
On his day off, Castor had decided to have another attempt at some pottery making... and this time it had gone well!

And this then influenced him to decide...

Ok then, that's good to hear! Better than Anna's verdict then I suppose...

Meanwhile, Henry decided to spend his day off in the pool...

(Check out that choice of swim-wear! Hehe)

Inside, Cat was enjoying playing her favourite computer game.. (The Sims 3 of course!) When she decided...

Hmm, her as well! Looks like Anna is alone being a grump then!

And this is further backed up as later that evening, Henry agrees too...

Anna spends her evening busying herself with Elliot though, and teaches him how to walk...

Hopefully that'll help cheer her up!

The next morning though, poor Anna isn't feeling too well...

Shame... hope she feels better later!
She still gets herself off to work though, as she doesn't like to miss it and both Henry and Castor were at home to watch Elliot as Henry had the day off and Castor didn't have to work until the late evening.

As well as watching Elliot, Henry also spends some more time with Maxx...

And teaches him to play dead!
He should definitely be in line for a promotion now...

Although inside, Castor is not having much luck making himself some breakfast...

But it's ok because his cuisine enthusiasm still seems to increase!
Luckily, there is soon a fireman on hand to help him put it out...

And no one was hurt! Phew! Well.. except Castor's omlette anyways...

Upstairs, Elliot was busy safe from harm, enjoying his new toy.. a drawing table!

Meanwhile at work, Anna faced a tough decision...

But she went with the sporks!

Oh.. dear....

Poor Anna!

She was a little cheered up though when she saw the picture Elliot drew on his new table...

Aw! It's Maxx lol

And he wasn't the only one pleased with a creation that day, Castor had found time to make another
plate...

Well done Castor!
He decided to hang both his fabulous creations pride of place in the bedroom...

Wonderful!

And there was even better news from Maxx when he came home...

Yay Maxx! Henry was very proud...

But he wasn't the only one with a promotion as when he finally came home late that night, Castor had one too!

Then... when he was just getting into bed, very late that night, Anna had the biggest good news of them all...

BUMP!
Yep, she's gonna have another baby

The next morning, Castor had the day off so he decided to spend some more quality time with Elliot, teaching him a nursery rhyme!

Elliot is a quick learner and he can soon recite it was well as Castor can!
And those two become the best of friends...

Aw Castor is so pleased!

Later that evening...

Not long now until Castor has another baby to bond with!

The next day, Henry decided to have a go at writing a restaurant review...

Err Henry... not sure if you should include that thought in it! lol
He soon buckles down though and very quickly gets it finished!

And when he goes upstairs to check on Elliot, the phone rings and...

Wow, well done Henry! Looks like it did go well after those first initial thoughts

Meanwhile, Elliot had decided Anna was definitely alone in her poor evaluation of the week in the Summers' house.. as he had had a fabulous week!

And it was topped off for him later that evening with some Birthday celebrations!

Happy Birthday Elliot!
Sadly, Henry was actually at work for once, so he missed it... But Castor and Cat were there and Anna even got up from her nap to come and join in!

Very late that evening.. when all the Summers' family were asleep in bed...

Labour time again!!

What will Anna give birth too this time?
