Great updates!! So many birthdays I voted on the site for Mila ..... it was between her and Raven for me, but in the end i went with Mila Oh and i forgot to tell you last time i commented... I LOVE the photo album... soo cute! I might steal your idea and do something like that for my family in a bit.. if I get it all working again. Have fun on the business trip.. we'll miss you:) But I have also found that taken extented breaks from the sims really renews your interest in the game... So I am sure we'll get some great updates when you are back and have the free time to play.

Before I forget to say, have a great time on your business trip! If you can have fun when doing business, hehe. I ditto what Dizzy has said, I always find that when you have time away from the game you slowly get re-interested and appreciate it much more when you play again. I loved the updates, doesn't Tanis look like a stud in his old age? I have to agree with you on the elder clothes thing - it is really hard to locate good elder clothing. I do frequently visit All About Style, and that's probably my favourite site for elder clothing. I voted for Mila too, was also swaying towards Raven but eventually decided upon Mila. Hunter was a definite no for me because of that nose... poor lad. Once again, have a good time on the business trip (if you can)! :waves:

Diz: I don't mind at all if you put a photobook together for your sims, its a novel idea. That why when I saw one I immediately thought of my sims. My husband keeps asking me when I'm gonna finally put our wedding album together, but I was so dissappointed in the photographs that I still can't look at them. Oh well, maybe one day :irked:
Lots of birthdays, they just all came at once it seemed, but at least I've finally reached a new point in the story. About time I say :rnrs:
Kate: Tanis, surprisingly does look like abit of a stud, although if he where real I probably wouldn't date him. No offense Tanis, but your abit old
All about Style is one of my top clothing download sites to, so far they are the bomb where clothing is concerned.
Shame, poor Hunter, don't think he's gonna get any votes. It must be the nose. I secretly wanted Mila as well, although I do have an attatchment to little old Raven. But he's not the most handsome of chaps :cookmon:
Thanx to the both of you for wishing me on my trip, gonna be a blast, or entertaining to say the least. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the getting up at 5am every morning. The sacrifices we make for a buck :fever:
Happy simming guys, and enjoy the rest of your month. See ya when I get back, looking forward to reading all the updates when I do. :waves:

Hi guys, so I've been sick for awhile now. Urg, I hate being sick. But it did give me some time to play the sims. I've decided to change things up a bit with my legacy and turn it into a legacy/prosperity challenge. I'm actually having fun with it this way, I tend to get bored playing only one family at a time. So at least this way I don't get bored anymore. Well, the next episode is up featuring the new family. Its a pretty long update since I wanted to get them all caught up to the Valdin's in spring. And its only one extra family. Anyway, let me know what ya guys think. Is it better this way? I think my getting bored was reflecting in the writing of each episode so I hope that its more interesting now Thanx Episode 19: www.shifted.co.za/simplystated/viewchapter.php?chapter_id=32&story_id=8

Haha! i just read thw whole thing. Boy, it was long. But, I loved it. ;D Haha! i thought that making zin the narriator was cute. Poor woman. My heart goes out to her. Must be really hard to have all of those bad thoughts and feelings. I thought it was kinda interesting that you started off with a married couple. Well, atleaste they had each other to help them through the money issues. Seems like they had some big ones too. So sad......anyway, I thought this chapter was very weel developed. I think you did a good job. :rnrs: I think that when you have pregnant sims it's always really, really hard!!! I have a suggestion......*cough* Have a wedding and get them into the limo.....fixes all the problems. Haha! The baby was cute and I thought she looked good as a todler. Kinda interesting that Zin changed her aspiration. Shame that she got stuck with pleasure. I think you can acutaly choose with aspiration you want your sims to have with that machine. Atleaste I thought so. She might not have had a good aspiration to begin with.... Oh well. I loved the update! Can't wait to see what's to come next! :update:

I like the new style of writing it from a first person.. very cool. and this line: "Eventually, we got a computer too. I was so shocked when it appeared, it was like a blessing from the sky." made me laugh! I wish in RL there was someong watching for out needs and wants and would just plunk the item we want down magically for us
Jessie is really cute! I like the picture of her playing with the bunny head thing-a-ma-bobber.
I am not actually sure what a prosperity challenge is so i guess I will have to go check out that to see what it in tells . I can't wait to read more and I didn't think the update was long at all!
Hope you are feeling better now :cookie:

Anti: Thanx, I'm loving the story myself, its like starting a fresh again. I think that according to the rules of the prosperity challenge, if you change their aspiration you have to roll a dice again, which is what I did when I stuck her head in that machine. It rolled pleasure, so thats the one I chose. Its better than romance, those romance sims are really hard to do a legacy with.
I felt like I was becoming a bit stagnant with the writing, thats why I chose to write it in first person, helps give some character to the characters. :bouncy: I laughed with that wedding comments, I think I've only managed to hold a 'good time' wedding once and hence have only had the limo once. My bad for not taking care of my guests :irked:
Thanx and again and looking forward to your next update :cookie:
Dizzy: Thanx Diz, yeah I wish the same thing. Could you imagine if your sitting there thinking about a new pc and suddenly WAM there it is, what a lovely life.
I think Jessie is really cute to, much cuter than Mila was as a tod, but I will say that Mila is looking quiet lovely as a young adult. I took a pic of her as a YA today and put it in the character info sheet.
The prosperity challenge is basically rolling a dice to determine almost everything about your families. You roll a dice to determine how many families you start with, then you get all those families to 5 generations I think. But I'm just gonna carry on until 10, well if I make it that far anyway. Then you roll a dice to also determine how many members in each family. What their aspiration, gender, age and so forth is. Its kinda like forcing you to play most of the aspects of the game instead of the usual things you would always pick. Like I usually start with females for example.
Anyway, thanx for the comment and can't wait to read more of yours :cookie:

Aww! I thought those two episodes were really nice. The puppies are really cute. I think it'll be cool to see that when they get older and if they have puppies. Haha! I thought it was kinda funny that Imani was have a little mid-life crisis. It was a really nice update. And the second one was great to. I'm glad that Raven is getting along great there. Yeah, I was kinda confused at first as to why he was trying to get hooked up until I found out that he was heir. Haha! Well, I'm sure his offspring will be cute. (and diverse) Are you going to intregrate the twins into the story? Just wondering. Great update! :update:

I really enjoyed those two new episodes, and I'm really liking the new direction you've taken! Hearing from Tanis' point of view was funny, and I'm glad he finally achieved his LTW - even if he now has a mechanical hand! Hehe. The new puppies are cute too, I always love the element of surprise they bring. You never really quite know how they're going to grow up and what they look like - a bit like babies, I suppose! I find Pets much more interesting to grow up for some reason, though. It's nice to hear from Raven as well, I'm glad things are going well on his side of the world and he isn't being made fun of because he's 'alien-looking'. I liked Lila, who I had noticed is a member of the secret society! You should try and get him in there, it's funny to watch them do their secret hand shakes and things. Shame there was no way that she was going to like Raven, sigh. Haha, Raven got an old lady - that brings back memories of Ryan and when I was trying to find a mate for him. He kept being attracted to the old ladies... -_-; I absolutely loved the Llama Mama's reference, I was reading up on that on the website you provided and it had me in stitches! Very well thought out and done... I enjoyed that muchly. Thanks for linking the website! Anyway, getting back to Raven! I'm glad Kenya accepted his proposal, I was getting a bit worried actually! I have no idea why, either... I don't want to see little Raven getting hurt. I'm quite draw to that guy, I'll be sad eventually when he grows old. Loved the update Arinthea! Happy Easter by the way!

Thanx Dizzy & Kate
Yeah, I feel the same way Kate, I'm really attached to liitle Raven. Its my pleasure to link you to other great stories I find. There are some really talented simmers out there. I just love the movies they include in their legacy's, I can't make a movie. And trust me, I've tried.
Oh and Diz, the twins are coming up next. I certainly wouldn't forget about them. Mila has really grown into a lovely YA, but alas she doesn't seem to have much direction in her life.
I can't wait to get back to the Bryley's either, just itching to find out how Jessie is gonna grow up.
I really am dying to get Raven to start on his family, but varsity is so darn long. I'm busy playing the twins at the moment to get there update ready.
Thanx for the comments and hope your having a great easter with loads of chocolate.

Thanx all and happy simming. EDIT: I decided to do the next update tonight. So there's another episode directly after episode 22. :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:

Really loved the update! The community pool you built is really nice, I have to say! I tried building a pool once but I forgot to add restrooms... lets just say there were a few puddles on the floor. Conrad looked like he was walking into the wall in one of those pictures... made me giggle. Shame about him not meeting her turn ons and turn offs - ah well, no one's perfect! Hope he's rich though, hehe ^_^ That's a good enough reason to put up with him even if they do argue most of the time. Hehehehe. As for Hunter... whoa, that nose! I'd kinda forgotten about that... didn't think it was as noticeable when he was a teen as it is now... I hope Hunter stays with Catalina... they're so cute together. Oh, and as I was looking in the preview picture I noticed something... did you buy the Celebration Stuff pack? What's it like? Hope things begin to slow down for you soon, Arinthea!

Thanx Kate
Hee hee, yeah Hunter has a real honker on him. Sheesh that nose is really out there. Well, I hope that Mila and Mr Big can work through all there differance as well, he is Mr Big isn't he?
Well I think he's rich so I think there may be a wedding in their future. I agree about Hunter and Catalina, they do make a super cute couple, you really wouldn't believe how easy it was to get the two together. I swear I played him for about an hour and they were in love.
And yes, a friend of mine brought the Celebration Stuff pack for me. Its not bad, just like the others it gives you a few new things. Lots of formal wear. But all the age groups kinda have the same outfits, just in their size. Some of the dresses are a not so nice.
But it does give a lot of party stuff, like differant cakes and a differant arch for a wedding, and lots of decor stuff for a really nice wedding. All in all its probably one of the better stuff packs yet.
Thanx for the comment and I hope you get your legacy up and going again. Have your parents made mention of buying you that new graphics card yet?

Yes! Luckily all my constant 'hinting' in conversation has made them see that I'd like a new one - not to mention my dad knows that my other is dead, he put an old card in my computer yesterday - and they're currently discussing it with one another. I'm not too keen to push it any more as I'll probably get the whole "Well, if you had a job you'd be able to buy these things on your own blahblah" speech. I've been getting that quite a lot recently, and have been trying to get myself a job - but none of the places around here are hiring at the moment. I think they're also a bit muddled as I keep changing my mind as to which Graphics card I'd like - I think I've finally settled on one now, it's not one of the latest models but it's been rated better than them in reviews. Just need to show my dad and get his opinion on it.

Well I wish you luck in getting your new card, if parents know whats good for them they wouldn't want to stand in the way of a simmer and their sims, hee hee.
I think my husband has come to realise this, when my old graphics card fan broke down and my computer kept overheating. I think he moved heaven and earth to get me a new one pronto
I'm really missing your legacy, really hope that it all gets sorted out soon. And good luck with the job search, I hate working. But alas we must. Like at the moment I should be painting, but I'm here chatting with you guys. Its way more fun I think.

Loved the update! I'm glad to see Mila is getting along well in college. Hmm.....it seems that she has quite a bit of money for being so young (and in college). I sure hope it lasts. Being in a legacy and all. Hmm.....I don't know....those guys aren;t the greatest! But, I'm sure they'd do. Who knows. Aparently, according to a theory.....your kids are suposed to surpass you in looks and intelligence.
So, who knows. She might have some luck with her kids. let's hope! Loved it (again) I sure hope we get to see what the others have been up to. So many different families! Too little time in each update!

Thanx Anti Mila doesn't have that much money actually, its just the money from the grant she got for going to college. And then the grant she got for making the Dean's list. I figured I'd use it to buy useful things rather than waste it.
Well the maxis made sims are never the best, but I'm not gonna create a sim for each of the kids born into this game. So they'll just have to do.
Thats the thing with a prosperity challenge, there are quiet a few families to focus on. The aim is to make a prosperious neighbourhood with all the families. And I wanted another family to play since I felt the story was becoming a bit boring with just the Valdins. But next up are the Bryley's and then Tanis & Imani and then all the kids in one dorm.
Thanx

Hi guys ;D My quest to reach 10 gens looks very distant indeed, so in the end I've decided to turn my legacy neighborhood into my sims 2 soapie instead. It starts from season 2, so far it isn't oustandingly interesting. But some interesting stuff is coming up, romance sims always help in that department. But I've also got some plans in the works for my poor simmies, I'm kinda just starting to get the hang of causing scandal. Anyhow if you'd like to read my little soapie, then you can find it on my blog: www.shifted.co.za/simplystated/I'm still trying to catch up on a lot of the stories here, might take me a while still. But so far you can have really nailed this legacy thing, I'm such a slow poke Anyhow, good to see your all still here. Glad to see you all. ;D
