I have two questions

Hey everyone! I just finihsed a three-day marathon of creating an apartment. It was avery long, and very hard. I made the apartemtns and put in an elevator instead of a set of stairs. But, for some reason I can't get the elevator to work. I have the base of the elevator with the doors, and then I put in extensions. I figured that the sims would just get in and the doors would fallow or something very bizarre and sim-like of the sort. But, when I moved in my sims I asked them to go check out the apartment on the top floor and they were unable to use the elvator and there were no interactions with the extensions. Now, I know I'm definitely not doing something right, but I don't know what.

I also have another problem. While trying to go back and fix it, the building was in "apartment" mode. So, I couldn't try anf fix the elevator problem myself. Does anyone know how to turn the lot back to a residental lot to fix it? I hope I didn't just mess up the lot I worked so hard to make.......

Did you move your sim back out before you tried changing the lot zone'ing?
If you did then you also need to change the apartment back to residential to 'modify' it. Its a pain going in and out just to do it...drove me nuts!
As for the elevator..sorry i cant help there.

I have never used elevators.. even in non apartment builds, so sorry i can't help there either :/

To make the lot residential just type the same cheat only replace 'apartmentbase' with 'residential'

I did move the sims out first. Then I went back in and typed in that cheat and it didn't work. I'm so lost. I don't know why it's not working.

I used changeLotZoning apartmentbase to change it to an partment. Then I typed in changeLotZoning residental and nothing happened. I was really tired when I did it, so maybe I just need to go back and retry. I'm ganna look on s2c to see if someone has started a thread about the elevator thing. I think most poeple have been kinda weary of them.......I know I am. Cuss they make absolutely no sence.....
