The Williams Legacy~GREAT NEWS and bad news :( p.3

Hello everyone....please read below to find out what's going on!!

Hey guys! I'm really sorry I haven't been around much. I've been realy busy with school, family, and just a bunch of other things. I haven't been playing the sims in a long while. But, I just got started playing again and made a new sims. (yes, I know...what about the old legacy?)

See, my other legacy just sorta got messed up....I wasn't real happy with how it was turning out and just sorta wanted to start fresh. I've made a new gilr named Alice and I'll be showiung her soon. I'm not sure how soon....but soon. I've really started again mainly cuss school is almost out for me. I only have one more week and then it's summer break. So, I'll have a lo more time to do updates and such.

I just hope that i'll be able to do a better job with this legacy and make it more interesting. I could tell my last legacy wasn't the best I could make it. ;D Don't play silly with me...I knew!

There is one problem though. I think that somehow my donwloads have gotten messed up. When I created alice, there were a decent amount of downloads. In fact, most of my clothes were there. (mainly in the casual section, though....the other sections are messed up). It seems that it's just showing the donwloads that i'm gotten in the past few weeks or so. But, there are tons and tons of other downloads that I have. There are some hairs that aren't even showing up in my game. (almost all of my skins are gone...which really isn't a biggy cuss I'm using my defalts.....thanks god they're still showing up) All of my make-up is gone....so Alice looks like a cake right now with the maxis make-up.

If any of you know what to do....please tell me. I ahev checked my downloads folder and they're all still there. I'm not sure what's going on at all. It's really strange. The one thing that isn't too terribly messed up are my objects. I think they're all there. Some of my Murano objects aren't showing up. But, for the most part they're still there.

So, the first thing to do is get my donwloads straight....and get alice good enough for showing. there is one other prob though. My fraps are messed up. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or not....but when I pushed the frapps key it looked like it was taking a pic. But, when I went to my fraps folder, the pictures were just blobs and mushed of color and pictures. it was really strange. Any help on that would be apreciated! ;D

So, as soon as those probs are figured out....i can actualy get my legacy up for you all! I hope you stick with it and please stayt tuned for....

Aww am sad to hear about your other legacy anti.. I did think it was going good! But if you wanna start another one that's cool, I'll read!
Sorry to hear about your game and FRAPS problems though... would love to help but am not very good at that sort of stuff! Hope you get it sorted soon anyways and you get this legacy going when you finish school. Look forward to seeing it!

Wahey, new Legacy! *bounces*

Schools out for you in a week?! Holy smokes... I've got another week off (off school at the mo for study leave/exams) and then I have to go back and sit lessons for about... another five weeks.

I think I said this last year... but I'm utterly jealous. I can't wait until next year when I'm in year 13 I can leave early and laugh at all the others left behind. Then that will be the end of my days at high school - HOORAY! ;D

Your game problems sound a little odd, and I have no idea what's going on there...

...But as for your Fraps problems I'll try to help you figure this out.

First of all - what key have you set Fraps to in order to take your pictures?!

Frapps Prob- I set it to F11. It says my pics above it. I wonder if that means anything.

Hmm, that's odd - have you tried setting it to another key and trying that? You might find that your F keys give you problems... although I'm not sure, that's an odd one, that problem of yours.

Well, how do you actualy select a new key. Do you just hit the button or do you actualy have to type in the new key? I just hit the new one.....it sorta showed up really weird.

See, i know it's taking pics, but then when I got to the folder there aren't any real pics....just wird images that are blurs.

Ok, right! Tutorial:

1. Open Fraps through the start menu... or however you open Fraps normally.

2. Once the Fraps box has opened, click on the tab which says "Screenshots".

3. Where it says "Screen Capture Hotkey", click in the box below it so the current key is highlighted and then simply hit a new key.

4. Make sure it commits (just click somewhere on the beige coloured background of the Fraps box and then you're done!

Thanx kate! I'm pretty sure I did that when I took pics originally.....it didn't seem to work. So, I think I'm just going to forget about taking pics with Frapps and just take pics with the in-game picture taking thing.

I still ahevn't gotten my downloads completely squared away. I think it's just showing the one's that i've donwloaded recently. kinda odd. I think I'll just have to live with it.....I'm deffinitely downloading some make-uo.....*shivers*

I played with Alice some more and as soon as I get a few mre days played in with her, I'll get that first update for you all! And...well....after she get's some nice make-up.....*again...shivers*

BTW: Any good places to get some nice make-up? And, what do you guys use for defaults?

I use Helaene's make-up, and Bruno @ Mod makes some nice lipsticks/lipglosses.

Yes! I just downloaded Helaines new lipstick....but.....umm....i don't know what her other stuff looks like cuss she's in archive mode right now. Argh! Thanx for the other person! ;D

I can recommend some of Helaene's eyeliners and eyeshadow:

Eyeshadows
natural beauty eyeshadows ~ they're nice if you want a subtle look

1225 eyeshadows ~ these ones are a little more intense than the ones above... they're probably the ones I use mainly

intense color eyeshadows ~ my second favourite of her eyeshadows, they're intense with a little glossy side.

classique eyeshadows ~ new download ~ they're nice, quite simple and classic.

Eyeliners
I've already got eyeliner on the default skintones I use... but when I do want a bit of eyeliner I use Helaene's eyeliner basic pack.

Whilst I've got Bodyshop open I can also give you some of my other favourites!

Barcelonista over @ Mod has also made some nice, basic eyeliners. I've got those ones downloaded too.

Blush
I only use blush on the odd occasion (as sometimes I don't like my Sims to have that flushed look) but when I do, I use Barcelonista's blushes as they vary - light coverage or heavy coverage.

Lipstick

I'm filled with Helaene and Rensim!

Of Helaene's, I use:
her new one ~ mostly matte?
february lips v2
couleur transparent
spring flora ~ don't know which ones they are

Of Rensim, I use:
Dews
Sweet Revenge
Winter Glosses 2
Golden Fall
Winter Glosses

OK, so here's the deal with me getting an update in. I want to get some new default skins for my sims....but, I have to get rid of my old ones first. I'm in the process of trying to find them and delete them....

As soon as I'm done with that, I'm going to go in-game and finish getting the pics for the next update. But, i don't know If I'm going to get to it tonight or tomarrow. Depends on how busy I am. After that, I have to go into PHOTO-PAINT to get them modofied and then after all that I can finaly put it together. ;D

So, It might be a little while. I'm hoping before Saturday. But, who knows....
